## What is RunRoutes?

Your run starts on the map.

Open RunRoutes and you are looking at a route from your own front door.
Pick a distance, tap once, and a loop appears: out and back home, no
planning, no retracing your steps.

Run it from your wrist or your phone. Tap Start and your Apple Watch
takes over: turn alerts, pace and a tap on the wrist when it matters,
while your phone mirrors the run live on a full-screen map. No watch?
Your phone guides you on its own.

ROUTES FROM ANY DOOR
Pick 5K, 10K or any distance you like, and RunRoutes draws a loop that
starts and ends where you stand. Save the loops you love, run them
again, or draw your own by tapping waypoints on the map.

GUIDED WHILE YOU RUN
The map fills the screen edge to edge with six numbers over it: time,
distance, pace, heart rate, calories and the length of your loop. Turn
alerts arrive before the corner, on your wrist and on your lock screen.

INTERVALS THAT RIDE ALONG
Run and walk intervals on any route, or without one. Build your own
workouts, or follow the built-in Couch to 5K program: from your first
minute of running to 28 minutes nonstop, in 9 weeks.

EVERY RUN COUNTS
Progress opens on your week: which days you ran, what the week adds up
to, and how many weeks you hit your goal. Runs recorded with other apps count too, so your
story is complete from day one.

TAKE THE ROUTE WITH YOU
Share any route as a GPX file to your watch or the running app you
already use, and post the run card to your story.

RUNROUTES PRO
Try two route generations free, with no payment details. After that, choose a weekly, monthly or yearly subscription for unlimited routes, all custom workouts and the full 5K program. No free subscription trial. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Existing purchases remain valid.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.10.0 — 2026-09-19

More ways to explore.

Start with two free routes, then choose weekly, monthly or yearly Pro for unlimited route generation. No free trials or weekly route refills. Existing purchases, lifetime access and purchased route balances remain valid.

### 2.9.0 — 2026-09-11

The app has a new name.

RunLoop is now RunRoutes. Your routes, your runs, your program and your
Pro unlock are all exactly where you left them. What changed is the name
under the icon and the address of the website, now runroutes.app.

Same app underneath.

The route generator, the guidance on your wrist, the run walk intervals
and the 9 week program work the way they did yesterday. If you had Pro,
you still have Pro.

### 2.8.1 — 2026-09-08

Your run starts on the map.

Today now opens with a route from your own door. Pick a distance, one
tap, and you are looking at where you will run. Your training plan rides
along on the same screen instead of hiding one tab over.

Start on your phone, run from your wrist.

Tap Start on the phone and the workout begins on your Apple Watch: turn
alerts, pace and wrist taps where you feel them, while the phone mirrors
the run live on the same full-screen map. A sleeping watch gets woken
first, and without a usable watch the phone simply runs it itself.

The map, now on your wrist too.

Swipe down during a route run and the watch shows the whole picture: the
route as a quiet line, your travelled path in orange, and the map turning
with you as you run. Drag, zoom and the compass are right there.

The run screen is the map.

On a route run the map now fills the screen edge to edge, with six
numbers over it: time, distance, pace, heart rate, calories, and the
length of the loop you are running.

Progress, one week at a time.

The Progress tab opens on your week: which days you ran, what the week
adds up to, and your streak as a small flame beside the title. Flip back
through earlier weeks, tap any run day, and your runs list right below.

Simpler Pro, with a week on us.

Pro is now one clear choice: a yearly plan that starts with 7 days free,
or lifetime, pay once and done. And if buying ever felt broken: it was,
for some of you, and we are sorry. The purchase sheet now appears
reliably, every time.

### 2.8.0 — 2026-09-07

Tell us about the route, and the app keeps your week.

After a run on a generated loop, say how the route was with one tap, and why if it was not. In the generator, a flag on the route opens the same question. Settings has a Send feedback form for everything else. What you tell us shapes the next release.

Runs now count in weeks, not days. Set how many runs a week is a good week for you, and Today shows how this week is going. A finished run asks when the next one is and reminds you on that day. Your farthest, longest and fastest are on the Progress tab, and round numbers get a moment on the finish screen. Reminders only ask permission when you ask for one.

Take a route with you: the share button on a route hands it over as a GPX file, for any watch or running app you already use.

### 2.7.2 — 2026-09-04

A new icon.

The R now stands in relief on black, and the badge on a shared run card carries the same mark. Same app, same place on your Home Screen.
