### 4/5 — Better than a notepad

This app is so much better than having to get your pad out your pocket and mark down the score etc.

The only things I think I’d would improve is the ability to change the time for how long the half is, between 30/35mins (for junior/colts games) and 40mins for adult games. Also I’ve found that when I’ve gone to look at the time it’s gone back to my clock and I’ve had to re-open the rugby watch, instead of staying open all the time? The time and score is right. But a bit annoying having to double click my watch crown and select the app again. Other than that, superb app!

A lot fewer things to remember.  Love the yellow card and buzz if you stop the clock for more than 60 seconds features. 
What I would like to see is an on phone app that can store and share the stats from each game.

Used the app in game for the first time today thought it worked well and it helps you manage a game a lot easier. 
However I feel that a supporting app on your phone that syncs all info would be a fantastic additional tool. 
When you are reviewing the details of the game it really hard to read the info on a iWatch screen.

The app its really good and works like a charm…so far no issues but I wish they can add the ability to delete the yellow and red cards (sometimes a make a mistake and add yellow to the wrong team but I was unable to deleted from the record) and they hope it can add vibration when 10 minutes (or 2 minutes for 7’s)   yellow cards expire

Is there a way to alter the timer? I.e in rugby league different age groups have different match lengths or is it only 40 mins?

This app has a lot of promise. It has a lot of awesome functions. It is a little battery-draining. Be sure to shut down the application at the end of your matches!

Also, as another reviewer mentioned, a companion phone app with the ability to store and bring up match reports would make this perfect.

Also what would be awesome would be the ability to take voice notes and store those as well (reasons for red cards, notes to go back and look at game film, etc.)

Did my first game today using this app. I like it a lot. I have 4 yellows in the game and had the penalty count visible. 

To get 5 stars, I would like to see an update to show when the penalties were given in the timeline post game history. This would be useful to see trends and if a penalty escalation process was followed correctly.

Works perfect, easy to handle!
Only thing I’d like to have is a vibration every 10 sec while the clock is paused. That would be the fifth star. My old ref watch did that and I miss it.

I bought this in anticipation of getting an Apple Watch. App in App Store shows I’ve purchased it but greyed out and inactive to me. Not on my phone nor on new watch. Can’t repurchase either… stuffed. Developer please message me.

Carry the team colours across to the yellow card the score card pages (rather than labelling them home and away).

Can’t trust it alone. It’s easy to use and can record a lot of data, sadly it has a habit of crashing and it just resets and all data is lost.

I have loved using this app as a referee, very user friendly and dependable BUT today, for the first time, I was using the app, finished the game and it has LOST the game in the history. Therefore no try times or card times and it means having to revert back to pen and paper in case this happens again. So, great app, but if it loses the data of a game in its history, not good at all if you are relying on it solely.

I’ve enjoyed using this app this season but for the last month I’ve struggled to end games and the app has crashed, not saving the score.

When you pause the time it’s a bit hit or miss if the watch will vibrate after 60secs.

Also if you mark a yellow card in second half it can be a random time to count down. 

Would also like to see penalty times in the history of the game.

Great tool, been using for a little while now and it’s a great step forward in officiating management, saves having to carry scorecards and pencils.

The only thing I’d add is when using the YC function, is to sound or vibrate when it ends so you know exactly when the time ends. A couple of times now it’s over-ran for me which can be a negative. 

But other than that, a quality tool.

Most of my reffing is at age grade at the moment and this app, although it has great features, is useless to me unless I can change the length of the halves.

There is a need for an official rugby referee watch app. This one hits that void- but there are some issues that need to be fixed before it’s functional.
Currently there is no countdown timer- so you have to constantly check your watch for the time to see when the game ended or the half ended.
Needs a vibration feature to know when times have been completed.

Easy to use and helps with a lot of the time keeping needed during games. 

Only just started using but it would be useful to have a reminder when the card timer ends. 

Helps to manage the game and like the team colour customisation to keep things simple.

By far the best version for Apple devices I’ve tested. A few nice to haves would be for it to go into do not disturb mode when timer is running. 

I have a cellular Apple Watch and keep getting notifications while using the app.

Also would it be possible to track your fitness? Be interesting to see your running stats per match.

Lastly, having a way to see the data on your iPhone would be amazing. We use information when submitting red/yellow cards etc..

Unfortunately, whilst I love using this app when reffing, whenever I try to ‘end’ the game the app locks up forcing me to press the bezel button to exit, which then deletes all records of that game!

I’ve been using the app for 18 months and thoroughly recommend it to any rugby referee. My union has more and more referees using it. Well done.

I recently had a problem with the Rugby watch app and the resolution in case anyone else has this problem.  This has occurred twice after updates.  

Problem:  

The App disappeared after I updated the watch (Apple Ultra 1).  
It was not visible on my phones’ purchased apps
It was recorded as purchased on the App store.   Therefore I could not download it as it was recorded as already downloaded ‘on the phone and watch’ 

My solutions that did not work:

Resetting both watch and phone and reconnecting them did not download the app to my watch. What a PITA! 
Apple support.  They could see the app but just advised reseting the phone and watch. 

The solution that did work.

On the watch.  Pressing the crown and asking Siri ’to open the Rugby watch app’. 
The watch app is then opened in a option bar that gives you the option to download it
Download and then it is back on the watch.  (All original settings are lost)

The RW App also causes extreme battery drain unless it is deleted and reloaded so I have deliberately removed it then reloaded it after Apple updates.

I love this app. It’s easy to use and does everything I need it to. For the first couple of times I used my paper and pencil as a backup but after getting more comfortable with the app it’s all I use now. Customer service is great is well. I had a problem getting it on my newer updated watch and I heard back within a day for a solution. I let them know it would be nice to download or export the match report as well. I was told it is in the works along with other improvements. I practiced using the watch and app while just watching a game or two on television so I could get used to the interface. It didn’t take long but I would definitely do this instead of just using it in a game right away your first time.

I’ve tried other apps for the Apple Watch and time I checked this one out. 

Functionality is great. 
Couple of points. 

Pls Use the team colours as reference though all options - for example. Yellow cards (you have home and away?) just stick with the team colours. 

Also. I noticed that If the yellow card timer goes over the half time break = it should pause. It doesn’t. 
And the.When you re start the second half the count down for the yellows goes blank.

Pls pls Fix fast pls.

Lastly. When the timer is up - It only gives one small buzz. I don’t feel it. 

it needs to be a non-stop ringing tone. 

Looking forward To these updates pls. They’re priorities to ref a game. Then it will be a five star app. Thanks.

Update:

New update is fantastic. Only thing I would like to see added now is a match review/ history so you could look back on score time and card times. 

Amazing job. I’m so impressed with the update. 

Great app. Suggestions for making it even better. Vibration when time reaches half time and end of yellow card periods. Adjusting the length of halves. Great job guys. Keeping it simple. Couple more things and it will be perfect. Update: The new update is brilliant. Some great additions. Still would like to see the vibration when time is finished and yellow cards are finished. The new colour choice is great and the descending timer. Lots of choice on half lengths. Keep up the good work.
