## Newest reviews (5 of 25)

### 5/5 — Elegant, simple, useful

*2014-06-16, version 1.1.0*

Runtime is perfect for keeping a gorgeous visual record of your runs, storing them by location and with a heavy emphasis on the course you traverse. It's a great alternative to the heft and annoyances of Runkeeper and MapMyFitness.

### 5/5 — good!!

*2014-03-05, version 1.0.4*

good!!!,I like !

### 5/5 — Great run walk app!

*2013-11-14, version 1.0.1*

Love the new app - perfect for running or walking. love the maps and reporting features. keeps all my favorite trails or runs together. easy to use and track my walks or runs for review

### 5/5 — Now I know!

*2013-11-12, version 1.0.1*

Before I had this app, I didn't know how far I was running. Now I know! The interface is intuitive and the transitions from the map thumbnails to full screen are incredible. Great app! A must have!! Someone should buy the developer a drink!!

### 5/5 — Great Running app!

*2013-11-11, version 1.0.1*

I'm training for a half-marathon and this app is the perfect tool to keep track of my runs and help motivate me to keep going!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Total scam

*2024-06-03, version 2.3.0*

Doesn’t even work a little bit… want my money back

### 1/5 — Spyware?

*2022-08-13, version 2.3.0*

My phone informed me that the app had been tracking my location for days when I hadn’t been running…. Incredibly sketchy. I will regard this as spyware and I’m moving on.

### 1/5 — It’s not really doing anything

*2019-05-06, version 2.3.0*

Sad I spent money on this because I’m getting no data from it and it’s not syncing up with gps even though I said location always. Please make more user friendly with data that I can look back on.

### 1/5 — Failed

*2015-10-14, version 2.2.0*

Program "unexpectedly stopped working" so I unexpectedly deleted it.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2015-05-11, version 2.2.0*

Set off for evening walk using runtime on Apple Watch. I liked the starting screen showing distance, time and pace. However, I looked away and when I looked back the clock screen was back up. In order to get back to the widget, I had to push the crown and navigate back to the tiny app (impossible to do while walking fast). When I finished my walk, I pressed save and my information is no where to be seen. Guess it's back to my Garmin.

### 1/5 — Not a solid performer

*2014-11-11, version 2.0.0*

Pace times are wildly erratic. Interface in iOS 8 doesn't fit iPhone 4s screen--start/stop buttons hard to access--have lost runs as a result. Going to look for something else.

### 1/5 — Does not work…

*2014-04-20, version 1.0.5*

Just ran 8 miles, and all the app did is a straight line from my start and end points, with no information in the pace tab. Can't figure out what is wrong. So far it is a waste of money!

### 1/5 — Crashing

*2014-03-04, version 1.0.4*

Kept crashing - unusable. Deleted.

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2013-11-25, version 1.0.2*

Yet another pedometer that doesn't work. How hard is it to measure a distance? Been using Runtime for several days and have yet to get anything like an complete, let alone accurate, read of simply how long my dog walk is. It looks a lot better than most others, but always fails either part way along my walk, giving me a partial maps of where I've been, or like today,....it starts off fine, and tells me I walked for 30 minutes...and have gone zero steps and 0.1 miles...huh??
With no info how to make it work better, or way to contact the developer, I am going to ask for a refund.

### 4/5 — Minor problem!

*2014-06-06, version 1.0.5*

Really like the detail of showing when I cross a street etc. but the one problem I have is it will not let me delete a certain run even though it verifies that I want to!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app

*2020-04-22, version 2.3.0*

Great app that’s prefect in its simplicity. I’ve gone through quite a few tracking apps that are way too busy when all you want to do is keep track of your runs, but this is super straight forward to use. It also allows you to save and name favourite routes which is handy. Thanks!

### 5/5 — Nice simple old school app!

*2019-09-13, version 2.3.0*

I chose this for its simplicity and because it’s NOT connected social media by default. It’s great, it works, it does a fine job, it’s not bloated with unnecessary extras, and it doesn’t make me worry about how my data is being used.
One small niggle: I have measurement units set to metric/km in the app and in IOS. Distance on the individual run is shown in km, but the summary page shows distances in miles.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2014-12-29, version 2.1.0*

This an Amazing update, working very smooth. with very nice maps.

Is there any chance to support Microsoft Band, as well as Shoes?

### 5/5 — Love the maps and stats!

*2014-10-02, version 2.0.0*

Great running app, makes it really easy to track my progress in running. I love the update and the fact you can see lots of different data about your running habits! It's awesome to have all that information!

### 5/5 — Great run tracking app

*2014-10-02, version 2.0.0*

I've tried RunKeeper, Strava, and Runtastic in the past. This app is my favorite amongst these due to its simplicity and ease of use.

I like that the app doesn't open up to using GPS right away. That annoys me about other apps if all I want to do is view data. I don't need GPS triggered when it's not needed.

I don't want my fitness apps to be social and Runtime doesn't force any of that on you. You can share data, but you're never promoted to.

Last favorite feature: unlock all features for a one time fee of $4.99. No monthly subscriptions to worry about.

Two things I would like to see added is iCloud support for syncing rather than requiring manual syncing to Dropbox and HealthKit integration.

### 5/5 — Walktime for me, I'm not a runner

*2014-09-28, version 2.0.0*

Longtime user, keeps getting better, looking forward to Health Kit integration.

### 5/5 — Awesome app!

*2014-09-28, version 2.0.0*

Great update for iOS 8!

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2014-09-27, version 2.0.0*

This app is really well done. It goes above and beyond other apps for runners by allowing me to group runs into different locations — like the park, my neighborhood, or my school—and better understand my performance and progress over time in the different locations.
I also really enjoy how easy interval training is to set up.
I would recommend Runtime to anyone looking to take advantage of the power of the iPhone to enhance their runs.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2014-08-20, version 1.1.0*

A refreshingly simple app amongst all the noisy, cluttered running apps that require logins. Simple, thoughtful features that let you rack up the miles without annoying you in the process. Great work.

### 5/5 — Tolle App. Sehr simpel zu bedienen.

*2014-07-06, version 1.1.0*

Habe Runtime einige Zeit lang gleichzeitig mit den Marktführern laufen lassen, als ich unterwegs war. Egal ob beim Wandern, Laufen, Rennrad oder Mountain-biken . Runtime macht was es soll.
