Our stories are written for learners of all ages and abilities! Each word is highlighted as it is read, allowing you to easily follow along with the narrator. 

Learn new words and vocabulary! Every Russian word is translated to English, so you’ll never feel lost when enjoying a new story.

There are two types of “subscriptions” available:

· The Monthly Subscription gives you an ongoing monthly subscription that is renewed automatically.
· The Yearly Subscription gives you an ongoing annual subscription that is renewed automatically.

The cost of the subscription will be debited from your iTunes account after the purchase is confirmed.
The renewal can be deactivated at any time in your iTunes settings. To prevent the subscription is renewed automatically, it is necessary to cancel the renewal at least 24 hours before payment is due.
If the renewal is active, it will be debited within 24 hours of the previous subscription ending.
It is not possible to cancel a subscription for the period underway once it has been activated or renewed.

This app is great because: 1. The stories build up with grammar and vocabulary very gently. I never had the feeling of being overwhelmed. 2. The audio is slow enough for a beginner to understand. 3. The range of knowledge in the stories is pretty large so you don’t outgrow it. 4. It’s created for Russian in particular, not a version of a general app. 5. Other apps are focused on getting you “useful” vocab/phrases fast. This app helps you understand the structure of the language, how to build sentences.

I really enjoy this app as someone who grew up speaking Russian and wants to learn more. Being able to hear someone read the words out loud is so helpful for mastering pronunciation.

My only gripe is that I wish there was a dark mode feature. I often find myself reading at night before bed and this would make things so much easier.

I’ve been learning Russian on and off for 3 years. This last year I really went all in on my learning. I didn’t use the app at first cause I didn’t want to pay but I saw there was a free trial and thought, “why not?” The best decision I have ever made. This app has made me so confident in my Russian reading abilities

I asked them to include a “repeat button” so that the lessons would autoplay over and over. They didn’t do that but they created an option to listen to the audio of large swaths of lessons while you drive, work, sleep, etc…. Very helpful and cool! Very responsive support team and great lessons! The grammar guides are awesome!

I especially enjoy the original stories in the beginner series. The stories, and artwork (compliments to the hard working artists and writers) of children and animals are charming and sincere. They remind me of sweet tales I’ve heard from young ones in Moscow.

If you are looking for a free or partially free app this is not for you. This app wants you to pay for any story. There isn’t even a free sample story. Not friendly for people who want to learn for free.

Hi. 
Gave it a 5 star rating (2 yearly payments since) and previously asked if a user feature could be implemented, see below. Since I never got a response, how about this: a pause feature, as a programmer I understand the challenges, I’m thinking of canceling my subscription otherwise. I’m positive it’d be a beneficial feature for other users as well. 

(Aug 8 2024) I hope the developer could install a simple, useful feature. To press on a word, and hear it pronounced once, and stop. Currently, if you press on a word, the entire remaining page is narrated. Thank you for an otherwise great Russian language app.
