The game engine is intuitive and clever and the mechanism of speech recognition is brilliant idea. Accessibility is fantastic. I had a migraine and googled audio-only choose own adventure, games, and this is what came up. I’m stuck. I just keep going in circles. Is there anyway you can actually in your next update put a whole tutorial of the game and what to do in case you get stuck I’ve tried everything and still no luck however I got the other one solved like collecting eggs, bacon for the I can’t get to the basement apparently to get the part to fix stove, cause I don’t know how to get through the hedge maze where I’m supposed to go and just keeps taking me back to where I started when I started going through it. How do you get out of there? it’s giving me when I look up hints and the answer it keeps giving me Southeast Northwest Southwest and stuff like that I’ve tried everything and it’s taking me back to my starting point. What am I supposed to do? i’m not asking for many spoilers, but it would be nice to have some kind of tutorial help thank you. Keep up the good work. I finally got the crystal for the telescope and I still can’t charge the room stones. I’m really stuck in the game. If you can give me just some kind of info that would be appreciated. It was fun to work on the puzzles, and now I really can’t wait for this story to continue. ### 5/5 — A superbly created fantastic game *2025-02-12, version 1.0.11* I’m surprised at this game is the first of its kind. The puzzles, acting, audio production and implementation was the best I have ever seen. I can’t wait for a sequel. If you like solving puzzles having a good laugh and really putting your mind to the test this game is for you. I like that you have the ability to either type your responses or play entirely hands-free. It’s fantastic that game like this does not require any images and the description allows you to build the mansion and surrounding areas in your mind. ### 5/5 — Such a unique game! *2025-02-12* Ryft has a great storyline, interactive gameplay, and great choice in voice actors and immersive audio. Don’t ask me if I played through the game twice… I just love how it literally slips time away from your day, but it’s worth every hour lost. Moreover, I love how you can advance forward without touching the screen, and for those who cannot speak or choose not to, a typing feature is there at your fingertips. Lastly, improvements! Since I played Ryft entirely through typed commands, I wish that smaller phrases can be used to avoid typing out long strings of command. For instance, **spoiler** (avoid if haven’t played yet) if I wanted to give the chef the bacon and eggs, I wish to type out the command, “give chef food,) to hand over both food items. It just makes it more efficient since that is what the chef needs the most. But I love Ryft, and I gladly donated towards seeing the next installment soon. I haven’t figured it out and the hint isn’t helping me. I have not figured out how to get this through the head mage I mean, hedge maze. ### 4/5 — Lots of Fun! *2025-12-05, version 2.0.1* Having so much fun!! But have a few bugs that I can’t get past. I have to give the maid flowers, I give them and get the confirmation prompt, and then the flowers are still in my inventory and the task is still on my to-do list and I’m kind of stuck. But it’s been super fun gameplay. It’s like an immersive choose-your-own adventure book from when I was a kid. Love it! ### 4/5 — Very good game for the most part, looking forward to part two *2025-03-27, version 1.1.3* Could use some improvements, like offering a health teacher that tells you what you can say when you get stuck. Other than that, sounds like a fun and interesting game, and can’t wait for part two to come. ### 4/5 — Fun game, but buggy. *2025-03-23, version 1.1.3* I actually really enjoyed playing through this game, even though some of the solutions were far from intuitive and I definitely had to use the encyclopedia of hints a few times, but this game is quite buggy and it asks you in the hedge maze and at the end of the game to donate so they can make part two, but I had to reboot the app several times because it would stop listening to me or just generally freeze or whatever, and there's no way I'm giving my money to a developer with a buggy first game in the first place. I give it the five stars because I like telling it to read last command and hear what it thought I said. Some of the time it’s pretty funny. As well, I enjoy hearing the short responses that tell me my character doesn’t want to perform this silly action. The sound design, voice-acting and general idea of the game is great. I havn’t got too far so I am looking forward to finding out the rest of this intriguing story.
