### 5/5 — Excellent Ap to track fitness training

*2025-11-21*

This ap does a great job of tracking my daily exercise. I have created six different daily workouts that I utilize and route between. I can save photo or a video from the workout. The ap will track how much weight I have lifted and how many workouts since starting. In addition, it recognizes when I reach a PR on an exercise. If you are looking to join a fitness community. This is the ap to get.

### 5/5 — Best fitness app

*2025-11-21, version 2.0.13*

By far the best fitness tracking app I have found. Honestly whether you are just an occasional gym goer or a hardcore strength trainer this app has it for you. Tracking my progression in lifts is what I was missing recently with another app I was using ceased to exist. Honestly happy it happened Ryse is far better.

### 5/5 — Do yourself a favor. Download the app!

*2025-11-21, version 2.0.13*

A hidden gem of fitness apps. All the functionality you need plus the added motivation of doing the journey with others!

### 5/5 — Favorite Fitness app!

*2025-11-21, version 2.0.13*

RYSE is now my favorite fitness app. It took me about a week to get comfortable with the tracking…so stay with it. Lots of features!!! The owners are hands on and always making improvements and communicating with users. I LOVE the RYSE community- or you can stay private. It’s your choice. Try it out!

### 5/5 — Best fitness app ever!!!

*2025-11-21, version 2.0.13*

Hands down (and up (reps) the best fitness social app ever. So many features that are awesome! Great support system, both community and app support. It keeps getting better!!!

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2025-11-20, version 2.0.13*

Great app, easy tracking and also has access to AI to set up your workout for the day and ask questions.

### 5/5 — Complete Fitness Game Changer

*2025-11-20*

I can’t say enough good things about the Ryse Social Fitness app! It’s honestly been a game-changer for me and my fitness journey. Here’s why I’m giving it a solid five stars:

First off, the AI workout generator is a lifesaver! Some days, I just don’t feel like working out, and I know I need that extra push. The app creates personalized workouts for me, so I can just jump in and get moving without having to think too much about it. It’s perfect for those days when motivation is low!

But what I really love is the community. The support I get from other users is incredible. Everyone is so encouraging, and it feels great to share my progress and cheer on others. It keeps me accountable and helps me stay on track with my goals. It’s like having a whole team behind me, even when I’m working out alone at home.

The app is super easy to use, and I appreciate how it focuses on more than just workouts. There are tons of tips and inspiration that help me stay motivated both in and out of the gym.

Overall, Ryse has made fitness feel less like a chore and more like a fun part of my day. If you’re looking for a way to stay motivated and connect with others while reaching your goals, I highly recommend giving it a try!

### 5/5 — Better than most paid apps

*2025-10-05, version 2.0.6*

You can do anything and more for free than most apps stuck behind a paywall

### 5/5 — All the features. None of the polish. Still a W.

*2025-06-15*

RYSE is straight-up one of the most underrated fitness apps I’ve ever used. It’s got everything: custom routines, PR tracking, full history, volume, even AI-generated workouts and a whole social feed. All for FREE.

The catch?
The UI is chaotic 💀. Feels like every good feature from other apps got crammed into one screen with no breathing room. Some buttons feel like Easter eggs, and the layout makes first-time use kinda rough.

BUT — and it’s a big BUT — the core system is fire. Once you learn where stuff is, it becomes a legit weapon. Routines are smooth, logging is deep, and the AI + muscle visuals are actually helpful.

I’m giving this 5 stars not because it’s perfect, but because it deserves way more attention. One good UI redesign and this app would be top 10 instantly. Major respect to the devs. Just… please get a UI/UX homie 💀

### 5/5 — BodySpace 2011-2025

*2025-04-11, version 2.0.6*

I have used this app for a couple months now and I do love how you can track your workouts like the BodySpace app. One day that app just stopped working all together and I was sad to see 6.1million pounds lifted go to an end.

But I just opened this app up, and re-logged all 4 of my workouts and I am very pleased with the UI and UX. The social aspect is also similar to bodybuilding.com chat with other gym rats and “boost” their post as a like button. Before bodybuilding.com had a subscription service that was my first app to track. Happy to say I found another established app to track my heavy workouts. ✨🎉❤️

### 5/5 — Love the App!

*2025-04-06, version 2.0.6*

I used to use the BodySpace app, which I always felt was a bit clunky. Then, they killed the app and I lost 15+ years of lifting data without warning. That’s when I decided to try Ryse and I LOVE it. Im not super app literate, but it’s user friendly enough that I’m figuring it out! And if I have questions, the developers have quickly answered any questions I’ve had.

### 5/5 — This app is it!

*2025-03-23, version 2.0.6*

Best fitness tracker app on the market! So many options for tracking, I literally don’t have enough time to go on about all the different features - just download it. Wonderful community and constant support from the creators! 10/10 💪🏼💖

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Misleading App! Avoid at all cost!

*2026-06-08*

It is a great app but is disappointingly misleading. It seems like it is a free fitness tracking app but doesn’t tell you that ALL functionality is locked after an undisclosed trial period. I can understand locking premium of specific customization options behind a paywall but basic locking the functionality of a fitness app is ridiculous. I wouldn’t have even downloaded it if I would have known that I can only track a small amount of workouts before the app stops working. What’s worse about this is that prior to the recency app update they stated that the app was completely free to use and donations were encouraged but not mandatory. I guess greed got the best of the developers.

### 1/5 — you now have to pay

*2026-03-02, version 2.0.16*

I used to really like this app and I was using it for a while. It actually got me back into the gym. The app lets you see which exercises use which muscle groups and shows examples and how to’s.
NOW, today, I go to log my workout just to find out I can’t because it’s now a subscription. JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER APP. A big reason why I liked this app so much was that it was free. Money hungry. Do better.

### 1/5 — Trial

*2026-02-03, version 2.0.16*

The app is misleading as it doesn’t allude to the fact that once you sign up you can only record so many workouts before it no longer lets you track anymore

### 1/5 — Ryse defends transphobes

*2026-02-02, version 2.0.16*

Ryse recently decided to fire a fitness influencer because they called out a man who posted transphobic comments towards the influencer. Ryse is actively defending transphobia and hatred and I won’t support that.

### 1/5 — Decent I guess

*2025-12-24, version 2.0.14*

Tracks workouts well, unlimited workouts and wide ranges of exercises. But logged me out one day and deleted my account. Lost all my history of workouts. No way of following up or trying to reclaim. Immediately switching. Social aspect is useless

### 1/5 — Awful

*2024-10-04, version 1.0.67*

This app is convoluted and confusing, nothing about it is straight forward. App created markets it as a workout journal app on tiktok but it’s main focus is trying to make a gym social media page, it’s weird.

### 1/5 — Developer creeps on profiles and is verbally abusive

*2022-04-30, version 1.0.29*

There’s no way to protect yourself from them either. No privacy at all and he makes a point of creeping on every account and leaving comments.

### 4/5 — Needs Offline Functionality

*2026-01-18, version 2.0.15*

Great app. Probably one of the best out there. But unless I’m missing something, it’s unusable offline. I live in Africa so reception is constantly going out or inoperable which makes the app redundant. It’s my only gripe with the app really.

### 4/5 — Great App

*2025-10-07, version 2.0.6*

Works great! Very easy to use and log exercise. Very easy to create routines. My only suggestion would be to have a widget available fir lockscreen to be able to log exercise without having to open phone completely.

### 4/5 — Amazing App. Great for all levels of gym-goers

*2022-05-27, version 1.0.29*

First off want to say this is an amazing app. It truly is great for all levels of gym-goers looking for a community and workout plans. I’m able to see other people’s workout plans & results and make improvements to mine. If there’s a way to add a preview of how to do each workout, this app would be 5/5 for me. Nonetheless, I’m incredibly pleased with this app.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Everything you need

*2026-01-05, version 2.0.15*

This app has kept me and my friends consistently tracking our progress as well as holding each other accountable with the post workout summaries. Elements such as streaks keep you wanting to maintain them as well.

### 5/5 — Best fitness and community app

*2025-12-09, version 2.0.13*

Nice community feeling and very useful app. Creators are present and very active, they are listening to comments and work hard to improve the app regularly. Thanks!

### 5/5 — Lifting tracker

*2025-12-07, version 2.0.13*

Found this app when my prior one started charging- no thank you. Easy way to track workouts and progress. Love the exercise library and the ability to add my own.

### 5/5 — Best Workout App Ever

*2025-12-07, version 2.0.13*

They have done an amazing job with this app. Best one I have used. Only suggestion is let us build routines and add to a calendar but that’s minimal.

### 5/5 — Best workout tracker

*2025-12-05*

I’ve tried a number of workout tracking apps and this is the best one by far. It lets me create & store routines then pull up the one that I want when logging at the gym.

Switching exercises, weight or reps/sets on the fly is trivial. I even used their AI agent to review my past exercises and generate a new workout routine.

On top of that, the community is so supportive to everyone, and the devs are always available to answer questions or suggestions.

### 5/5 — Loving this app

*2025-12-02, version 2.0.13*

Not only does tracking my workouts keep me accountable, but the app developers seem like the sweetest people. The free trial is very long and the cost afterwards is very low considering the great benefits you have access to. Definitely recommend!

### 5/5 — Excellent App

*2025-12-01*

Ryse offers a perfect suite of tools for a new gym goer or experienced one.
Capacity to track workouts with volume, weights and PR ranges, custom built routines for easy expansion overtime for your own goals.
The meal tracking function has been really helpful in replacing other older apps & the free feature suite here has been excellent.
Ryse has been one of the best apps I’ve used for any of these tools, all wrapped in one neat package.
The developers are passionate about their project & just keep enhancing with new features.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2025-11-23, version 2.0.13*

This is a great app to track your workouts. You can track privately if that’s more your speed or you can post pictures/workouts publicly for more of a social media type feel. The creators are hands on, open to feedback, and always making new changes!

### 5/5 — Best Fitness App around!!! 🔥

*2025-11-21, version 2.0.13*

I have been using Ryse :) since the beginning. I love the community and being able to track my progress. It’s super easy!😊

### 5/5 — Love Ryse!
