### 4/5 — THIS APP HAS LOTS OF COOL FEATURES FOR THE MUSIC COMMUNITY

*2020-09-03, version 4.0.5*

I’ve used the app for about 3 days now and I can see it’s potential to be a leader in the music/creative community, however the apps music upload feature tends to be a bit slower at times or I have to press on the “-“ sign then re-upload the track and it works then, but most users may not so that (I’ve had to coach the users I’ve invited to the app so they don’t get discouraged about the app and it’s potential), I’m on as an A&R and creative producer and so far it’s pretty cool to use, but still have some time to use and see how it goes with all the new updates the RYSE team is working on based on. Excited to change my rate to a 5 star soon!!!!!

### 2/5 — Has potential but nowhere close

*2020-04-28, version 3.0.36*

No quality control whatsoever, feels like a spam of people with minimal skills hoping to make it big through this app. the worst part is it’s branded as a social media app but you have to pay to use its features. Would not recommend, best bet is to use real social media apps like Instagram to connect with artists and musicians.

### 5/5 — Great new way to connect artists!!

*2020-04-22, version 3.0.35*

Really like how this app is made to connect future talent!! It is very unique and is a good way for not just singers but for all types of people in the music industry to connect and grow their fan base.

### 5/5 — Love the idea!

*2020-04-22, version 3.0.35*

I’ve been following the app for a while and I love the progression of it. It’s easy to use and the idea behind it is awesome. Artists making music together in an accessible way. Really excited to see where it goes. ⭐️

### 5/5 — This could change everything!

*2020-02-16, version 3.0.26*

Finally a platform that offers artists something they can’t get anywhere else! This puts artists right in front of people that can use their music in ways that can further their reach! Great idea!

### 5/5 — Finally an app focused on helping musicians

*2020-02-14, version 3.0.25*

This app is legit. If you want to get to that next level and are serious about a career in music this is where you need to be. Download it. Trust me

### 5/5 — The Next Big Thing

*2020-02-06, version 3.0.24*

Been using this app for a few days now and honestly I think this is what every artist needs. Through the “callout” feature you can find so many different opportunities whether it be a rapper looking for a producer to collab with or a brand that needs music for their upcoming commercial. You can also send out your own callout when you need something like a feature for a new single for example. I also really like that you can connect with videographers, A&Rs, managers etc. This app is pretty cool and has a lot of potential and from speaking with some of the people behind the scenes they’re working very hard to improve this product and make it the best it can possibly be.

### 5/5 — WHERE ARTISTS COME TO RYSE

*2020-02-03, version 3.0.24*

I just started using RYSE and its a great platform for artists trying to get discovered and for industry professionals trying to discover them. If you don’t have a RYSE account yet you’re gonna be late to the party. Get hip!!

### 3/5 — Great Idea, Executed Poorly.

*2020-01-29, version 3.0.23*

I was excited to see there was a new music linking app added to the store. I’ve used the app “Vampr” for a long time and really enjoy it because of it’s location feature. Using Vampr you can find artists within a 20 mile radius of you.

This app doesn’t have that feature. I can get over that, the only part I find to be annoying is the paywall. You can see everything, but it cost money to contact people? Isn’t that the whole point of the app? This is essentially a paid Instagram for artists. It’s really bold to even ask for $3 a month when their competitors don’t ask for a penny.

It is obvious they don’t let you add links to your profile since it would encourage people to leave the app and talk on other social media. The feature to add links is available after paying a subscription.

This app has a lot of potential, and could be worth the money if there was a reason to subscribe in the first place. It seems like their motto is to just collaborate with anyone and everyone. For someone who’s been making music for years and has already put their work in, I wish there was an option to be more selective when finding artists. Maybe group new comers in one pool, and professionals in another? This would make the subscription worth while because then you’d have the ability to work with people at your own skill level. This would then offer a feature free versions (competitors) of this app do not consist.

**Developer response:** Hi attackthenet,

Thanks for the feedback.

We have plans to release a map feature that shows a map view of where users are. We just have not got to that feature yet. We have a few other features we are working on first.

We also have plans to make a user profile more in-depth and it will include their skill level along with other valuable info. We think you will appreciate this when it is released. This will be done before that map feature.

As far as a "paywall to contact people," we are not sure what you are experiencing. You should be able to message all members. That is part of the basic account features.

Can you email us about your experience of not being able to contact people because of a paywall? We want to fix that - info@ryseup.com

We would say what we are building is different than Instagram. RYSE is focused on callouts and responses and we have plans to really grow that area of the technology. We want to bring valuable opportunities to musicians that will help them level-up.

We appreciate you being part of the community we are building and we welcome the feedback.

Thanks!

Team RYSE

### 5/5 — New Updates

*2020-01-24, version 3.0.23*

Looking forward to the new user friendly updates on an already great App thank you

### 5/5 — Networking made easy

*2020-01-24, version 3.0.23*

RYSE does a good job of connecting you with the right people. As a musician, I find myself often focusing too much on the craft and not enough on getting out there, making connections, and doing the ground work. RYSE has a collaborative aspect to it that allows artists to connect with each other and create a space for people to build together. Something I’ve always appreciated was collaborating and getting together with the right people. You naturally stand out if your stuff is good which is both motivating and encouraging too. The developers are also accessible and responsive which means your concerns don’t go unnoticed, like many other apps just looking to make money off you and disappoint you with a buggy program and useless functionality. So big thanks to RYSE.

And you can’t beat that price either.

### 5/5 — Great App for Creatives

*2020-01-21, version 3.0.22*

RYSE is a great app for creatives to collab and work together. In today’s world it’s hard to find people that want to help one another. On RYSE you can create a vision and have like minded people jump on or guide you the next step. Def recommend for new and upcoming talents. Or even people who just wana get their work out there.

### 5/5 — If I could give more stars, I would!

*2020-01-07, version 3.0.17*

This app is a game changer. Highly recommend it for any creative individuals, whether you’re a novice or a professional. It’s no secret that the music industry can be a difficult one to get established in. Here, you’ll find it easy to connect with this community & create with artists from all over the world. On top of that, there are some really huge opportunities to advance your music career that can’t be found anywhere else. The RYSE team is consistently working to bring new features and opportunities to this app - you won’t regret being a part of it.

### 5/5 — Great concept

*2019-12-12, version 3.0.13*

The people got to build each other its ah great idea and helps artists from anywhere to build with other ppl looking for the samethings
cleaned up bugs after I emailed them
Made great strides to make me happy so 🙌🏼

### 5/5 — Perfect app for all artists

*2019-11-23, version 3.0.10*

If you’re an artist, you’re always in need of people to collaborate with. Ryse up helped me connect with producers and mixing engineers to get my album out that. Honestly wish i would have found out about this app earlier.

### 5/5 — Reach new artists

*2019-11-22, version 3.0.10*

I was rockin w Ryse since the first version. I think this app is a great way to meet people who could possibly benefit from what you do. You produce beats ? There are singers and rappers that need beats on here you can easily connect w. You need a beat ? Check our all these local producers you could collab w. Ryse makes it easy to connect.

### 4/5 — Great for collaborating

*2019-11-06, version 3.0.8*

This app is great. I’m getting the opportunity to be heard by other creatives. My only problem is when getting notifications. I will get a notification on my home screen but when I open the app and tap the notification symbol, I always get the screen that says “no notifications”. It makes it hard to track responses and likes. Also I’ve posted a few video responses but it never shows as a response to the callout. These issues aren’t enough to make me stop using the app, just minor inconveniences.

**Developer response:** Hi,

Thanks for letting us know the issue with the notifications. We have fixed the problem and released a new build. In regards to the video responses not working, can you shoot us more information about what is happening to support@ryseup.com? We will get it fixed.

Thanks!

RYSE Team

### 5/5 — Great concept!

*2019-10-25, version 3.0.7*

Hey! This is a great concept! Excited to see it spread quickly! Everyone in the music industry should try to connect and fill the network!!

### 5/5 — Amazing app for connecting artists and musicians

*2019-10-23, version 3.0.6*

I have been using this app to find producers and artists and it has been very easy to use and I have made some
Solid connections. Each update is enhancing my experience I highly recommend it for artists, producers and people in the music industry.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Horrible app

*2019-10-27, version 3.0.7*

Not only is it not supported on IPad natively, the GUI and overall controls are very poorly implemented. The actual representation of so called artists is also very poor. From everyone like serious (rare) singers or rappers looking for producers and a fair share of people who sit in their living room making videos of themselves singing when they are far from that ability. Just poor representation in all and definitely a complete waste of time.

V3: No improvement

### 1/5 — A Community of wanna be’s

*2019-06-14, version 2.0.7*

So I wasn’t even on the app for 10 minutes and got negative followers and fans. I don’t know how that’s possible considering I was still trying to figure out how to use the app to post my works. I don’t think it fair to receive negative followers and fans. Back to the drawing board for you to figure out how to build a more positive community considering I’ve been mixing music for multiple years... I give your platform -1,000,000 stars. The one was just so I could write this review.

**Developer response:** Hi,

We apologies for the experience you had with version 2.0 of our app. Over the last few weeks we re-launched a brand new version of the app. RYSE 3.0 has been built from the ground up. We hope you check it out and let us know what you think.

Thanks,

RYSE Team

### 1/5 — Terrible Video Uploader

*2019-03-21, version 2.0.7*

Super hyped for this app. Installed, filled out my profile then BLAM!! No response-ability, who’s responsible? Tried responding to one of the producer call outs and after 100 tries it finally let off a counter for me to record my pitch. Tried again with another callout by a producer and once again, NO RESPONSE-ABILITY!!! Hit the REC button a million times to no avail and my WiFi is perfect. (Miracle in its own right, personal victory) Please advise because this could be a great platform, if the REC button would just work. Thanks

**Developer response:** Hi,

Our 2.0 version of the app was very buggy. We have rebuilt the app from the ground up. Please download the latest build and let us know what you think. If you discover any issues please send them to support@ryseup.com.

Thanks!

### 1/5 — R. Kelly’s Favorite App

*2019-01-13, version 2.0.7*

Originally I thought that this app was for music production, networking, or artist/musicians. Come to find out it’s essentially cesspool of wannabe rap/hip hop artists, ghetto booty twerking models, and people who think that living in LA automatically makes you a famous artist. Do not download this app. I’ll save you 15 min of your life. MUSICIAN isn’t an option when listing your profile.
I believe the options were:

-DJs
-Producers
-Models
-Dancers
-Rappers
-Promoters
-People pretending to be producers
-That one guy who uses fruity loops

If your looking to find talent for a local wet t-shirt contest at a homeless encampment this app would probably be perfect. Honestly I’m embarrassed that this was ever downloaded to my phone.

### 1/5 — Very buggy, cheap app

*2018-11-08, version 2.0.7*

This app does not flow well at all. I am surprised that apple featured it as if it was a really good app. It’s not intuitive at all and it’s just all around cheap. They put up about 10 successful industry people on there to make it seem like a thing but then when you scroll down it’s a bunch of odd balls trying to make it. I never write reviews but this is so bad I had to say something

### 1/5 — Can’t upload media = car with no engine

*2018-10-18, version 2.0.7*

I can’t upload videos or songs. When I select the media type as video it gives me an option to select and upload content, but it also requires that I upload a picture with the video. I do that and only the picture shows. How did this make App Culture if this isn’t working? Did they actually use the app or just read over the description and celebrity co-signs? This is slightly better than Treble FM’s app only because it doesn’t freeze.

**Developer response:** Hi,

We have launched our 3.0 version of the app which has been built from the ground up. Our 2.0 version of the app was very buggy. Please download the latest build and let us know what you think. If you discover any issues please send them to support@ryseup.com.

### 1/5 — Little usage

*2018-03-24, version 2.0.7*

Not being a rapper/r&b, or not knowing the small circle of people in the developers contact list-moving forward in this app is poor and unavailable to talent outside of their small group of “go to’s”. We, as a group, utilized this app for 2 months with multiple attempts to get some sort of response and/or recognition with no communication within the community or from other talent. I would suggest reverbnation as a primary tool to professionally market your talent. This is a waste of time.

### 1/5 — Glitchy

*2017-12-30, version 2.0.7*

I really think this app could have been a great tool for me to use as an educated, talented, and experienced vocalist who is SERIOUS about finding important people to work with. A lot of things need to be added, though, to make this app a meaningful experience. For instance, simply searching for artists by location. If I’m in LA, why would I want to see callouts from people on the east coast? You should be able to pinpoint/filter things much more easily. I can’t upload media to my page, only photos of myself. That’s great, but what can another artist really tell about me from photos alone? I can’t see who my fans are as almost nothing on the app is actually clickable as a hyperlink.

I know this app can be great but you really have to incorporate the feedback from these reviews if you want something worthwhile. Please do because I like where this is going!

**Developer response:** Hi,

### 1/5 — Serious Glitches

*2017-12-21, version 2.0.7*

Your app has some serious issues. I still have no way of knowing if my responses ever went through. It cuts out during the making of the responses. You can’t upload any video to your profile. No place to put your website or already recorded music. I mean come on guys! Nor can you click on any responses to a post. It says something about mapping errors. Great idea but This app needs a huge overhaul!!

### 1/5 — Horrible design, programming, and usability

*2017-12-21, version 2.0.7*

This app crashed within minutes of use and continued to crash when attempting to upload photos and view responses. Every post needs to be approved, eliminating the fast paced social media we are all used to. Profile editing and customization is minimal and the interface for interactions between users is poor as well. Great concept but very poor execution.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — 4.0 Is Hard!

*2020-08-22, version 4.0.3*

Love the new design and ease of use on RYSE. So many new feature that were much needed. Looking forward to the new version, and all the updates to come!

### 5/5 — I’m finishing tracks because of this app

*2020-08-18, version 4.0.2*

Finishing tracks is impossible because I can’t ever find the right people. This app has helped me find and connect with dope artists and singers and I’m actually happy with what they do on my tracks. I’m using this for every song moving forward no doubt.

**Developer response:** Hi,

We are glad that RYSE has helped you make a connection with another musician. We built RYSE to help musicians make empowered connections. This is great!

RYSE Team

### 5/5 — FINALLY

*2020-08-18, version 4.0.2*

### 5/5 — RYSE 4.0, big improvement

*2020-08-09, version 4.0.0*

I have been following RYSE over the last year and the update to version 4.0 is HUGE.
It feels like a brand new app. The UI/UX has been completely redesigned and the app is running very smooth. If you are a musician looking to work with other artists RYSE is the new wave 🌊

### 5/5 — Collaboration has never been easier

*2020-07-30, version 4.0.0*

This app has made it so easy to work with other musicians! Recommend this app to anyone to collaborate musically with other people!

### 5/5 — A great way to connect!

*2020-04-24, version 3.0.36*

Such a cool app to find everyone you need to build your career in music. Great to find new songs, artist, producers, everything! Can’t wait to see what’s next! #ryseup :)

### 5/5 — Updates often

*2020-04-24, version 3.0.36*

I know this app has a rough past, but they seem to be in good hands now. They’re doing updates all the time now so it’s like before issues are discovered, they are ON IT!!

### 5/5 — This App is an artists must have

*2020-04-24, version 3.0.36*

I have never seen anything like this before this app is a tool that every artists needs to have on their smart devices. It’s like Tinder for musician so much raw and undiscovered talent on this app it’s crazy. I recommend this app to anybody who is involved in the Music Industry.

### 5/5 — Great App!! Will be the next big thing

*2020-04-22, version 3.0.35*

I really like this app and truly believe it will be going far. It’s a great tool for any kind of artist trying to level up- 10/10 recommend. The company truly cares and is willing to help you level up!!!
