Poor design! Folgender Punkt ist zumindest bei mir seit den letzten Updates nicht erbaulich, wenn man das Handy als Tacho verwendet. Dauernde Verbindungsabbrüche die jedesmal zur Rücksetzung getätigter Einstellungen führt und die Übertragung der Geschwindigkeit ist stark verzögert. New functionality has been added steadily and, for the most part, that functionality has been pretty useful. They have tried a few things (such as cloud buttons) that turned out to be dead ends, but I appreciate the ongoing attempts at innovation so I can't hold that against them (although a refund would have been nice when they gave up on it). Unfortunately, some of the newer, commander-based innovations that have been introduced lately just don't work, for me at least. I have some aftermarket "Auto Presenting doors" which will open the front doors for me with the push of a button. This actually works very well when using the S3XY buttons. However, one of the S3XY gadget features is supposed to unlatch the driver's door as you approach the car. For me this would actually open my driver's door as I approach which is ideal. This worked a few times and then just stopped working. I honestly don't know if this feature works for anybody else but it's pretty disappointing that it doesn't work for me. There is also a feature (Passenger Easy Entry) that will adjust the passenger seat when their door is opened to make getting in and out easier. Once inside, when the passenger buckles their seatbelt the seat will assume a comfortable cruising position. This works.. mostly. But in my car, when I activate the turn signal the passenger seat will jitter forward or backward unexpectedly and is annoying enough for the passenger that I just keep the feature disabled. I enable it every once in a while after a commander firmware update is pushed but this issue persists to this day. The most recent release - firmware version 5.10.4 - revamped how the "Presenting Doors" feature works, it's now part of the "Actions Upon Approach" feature, so I was excited to see if this might have finally addressed the issue for me but alas this is not the case. I did reach out to support and, to their credit, they did respond, but without gathering any logs or really looking at the issue they just blamed my after market doors for the failure on that front. And they claim that nobody else has issues with either this or the Passenger Easy Entry function so too bad so sad for me. The software is full of bug. Customer support is super rude (company is in Bulgaria that explains why, they are still stuck in Soviet era). Don’t buy. ### 1/5 — S3XY Dash Broken *2026-03-06* If you are considering buying the S3XY dash, do not. When I first received the unit it would not connect to the app on the phone. They released an update on 5 March to the commander, app and Dash and made things worse. Now the app says the dash needs an update but there is no update. How on earth did the developers and beta testers not find these issues. There is no forum, no update on their blog and support tickets take 3+ days for anyone to respond. I bought my commander back in Oct 2024 and it has been great. Then I do firmware update 5.7.4 and find that they have basically killed all functionality w scan my tesla. On every drive, you have to manually enable the communication and when it does communicate, it’s clear that they have reduced the max permitted bandwidth by 80%. What used to be a smooth fluid display is choppy. In regular 3 minute intervals it will lose connection entirely. Great products that get new features released through regular updates. I am so glad that I waited to get this dash over any of the others. Took me a bit to get the dash setup correctly, but not too long. Installation was simple as I already had the commander installed and in the correct location. Allein dafür ist das schon sein Geld wert. Nun noch mit dem Strip den Totwinkelassistent nachgerüstet den es bei uns noch nicht gab. Außerdem dass die Kids von der zweiten Reihe selbstständig ein neues Lied (durch die Buttons) auswählen können ist super. I couldn’t have done a great job without it. I had a stroke 4 years ago and I’m kind of limited to using one hand and it came out perfectly.
