Of course, one can never be at peace when the threat from fires is constantly on your mind! But at least you can feel informed, instead of floundering. I refer to it almost every 15 mins, or more, & am able to make the correct choices regarding when to leave or stay. It beats the old way, of going outside & seeing if you can smell smoke, & if you could, you had absolutely no way of telling was the smoke from the fires in Victoria, drifting into our state, or was there actually a fire nearby? So thank you very much. It’s a huge help, making a massive difference in South Australians’ lives. Family trying to save their homes or evacuated made it impossible to contact many... it was terrifying to sit and wait in Adelaide, helpless! This app is the only one that gave me accurate and up to date information that I was able to pass on to numerous family and friends who were worried about loved ones. I went to the App Store for answers and found this. FINALLY an app that seemed to have what I needed. I wasn’t disappointed.... I was so relieved! Well worth the $1.50 for the answers I couldn’t get anywhere else! I can’t thank you enough for this app! It’s truly been a lifesaver; stopped a heart attack waiting to happen, helped reduce anxiety, and gave us peace of mind... of sorts. Thank you again! ### 5/5 — Fires Yorke peninsula. It gives me a random address over 5km away and won’t let me change it. Also won’t let me delete old location alerts. Highly recommend this for anyone in bushfire zones. ### 5/5 — Current fire text size font *2024-06-21* Hi great app. I am in the cfs and use this app several times a day. I find the font size in red of the current fire is a little too large and it covers the number of appliances that are on scene . Or maybe the field could be shortened so as not to cover the number of appliances.
