Totally useless, cannot redeem miles, cannot book flights. ### 1/5 — Designed by an F Student! *2024-02-09, version 1.9.5* First time reviewing an app To the developer: Please use the OS keyboard! I cannot paste text into any of the text fields I cannot enter the date in the “claim miles” section. It allows me to pick a date (from your custom date selector) but it doesn’t enter the date in the date field! So it’s impossible to enter a date and there cannot use the app to claim for miles! ### 1/5 — Horrible *2023-09-16, version 1.9.4* The app does not work. Crashes frequently occur on navigating the app. Emails are not answered. No one in their right mind would release such a basic outdated bit of technology! Whoever approved the expenditure on this embarrassing piece of low tech rubbish should be fired along with the developers. No wonder SAA is bankrupt. Yet another example of “ jobs for pals “! A disgrace. ### 1/5 — Outdated App design *2019-10-18, version 1.5* Please update this App to international Airline standards. This App is simply unacceptable when compared to other airline App that are actually useable. Why does SAA have a separate booking App? Well jokes on us- this app is terrible. Wow, it is 2019 and you bring out an app that badly designed. May I suggest that you download the Emirates App and try and get as close as possible. I am a LT Platinum member and this is an insult to me....not even my status is right. No digital card, no immediate redemption for upgrade or booking BUT worst of all, why ????? would you separate miles from flights, trips, future bookings...my travel life? It’s not really an app 2. Forces you to log in with your membership no and PIN. No facial recognition or other method of opening it 3.The only real function is to check your points accrual, but then again, it doesn’t show activity after 30 days, which limits it usefulness 4. The rest is just fluff, with no functionality 5. It doesn’t show upcoming bookings 6. No ability to make a booking All in all, it is a non functional, clumsy attempt at an app and is most disappointing ### 1/5 — Awful *2019-03-08, version 1.0.1* Poorly designed, pretty useless app. It forces you to login every time, Voyager number and PIN, but does not let you copy and paste. No ability to see transactions beyond 30 days. If anyone is looking for how not to consider a customer’s actual needs when launching a digital proposition then this is a case study for the years. I cannot even find where there rewards are (eg. how many miles I need to redeem a rental voucher) - an app needs to be intuitive this is unacceptable - really badly designed. Any why is it not part of the SAA app - I had to call the contact Center to find that out: costing me and SAA ### 1/5 — Should not be a standalone app *2019-03-06, version 1.0.1* This should not be a standalone app but rather part of the main SAA app as most other airlines have done with their frequent flier programs. Everything that is explained Ito what one can do with the miles doesn’t feature on the app. In fact, I “login failed” is the almost permanent message I get, particularly after I travel when I want to check my miles. This is how one forfeits miles because of technical glitches like this.
