Ich bin insgesamt wirklich sehr zufrieden mit dem Fotobuch. Die Druck- und Materialqualität ist super, die Farben wirken klar und hochwertig. Außerdem war die Lieferzeit überraschend kurz, sodass ich das Buch schneller in den Händen hielt als erwartet.
Ebenfalls positiv fand ich, dass die Gestaltungssoftware sehr benutzerfreundlich ist. Man findet sich schnell zurecht, und das Erstellen des Buches macht Spaß.
Ein kleiner Verbesserungsvorschlag: Es wären mehr abwechslungsreiche Layout-Vorschläge schön. Es wäre hierbei sehr hilfreich, wenn Layouts auch für einzelne Seiten angeboten würden und nicht nur für Doppelseiten. So hätte man bei der Gestaltung noch mehr Flexibilität und könnte einzelne Seiten individueller anpassen 
Trotzdem ein tolles Produkt, das ich auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen kann!

This app seems to work only with the Saal-digital.com portal. It would be nice to be able to connect to Saal-digital.de as an alternative in order to to place orders there.

Die Lieferung ging extrem schnell (Sonntag bestellt und Dienstag war es schon da). Mit dem Ergebnis bin ich auch sehr zufrieden. Es ist sehr hochwertig. Auch der Kundenservice war perfekt. 

Die App hat mich leider teilweise Nerven gekostet. Könnte aber auch daran liegen, dass ich es am iPad und nicht am Computer gestaltet habe. Was mich gestört hat, war, dass bei der Auswahl der Layouts teilweise Bilder einfach rausgenommen wurden und ich so nicht mehr nachvollziehen konnte, welche Bilder ich vorher ausgewählt hatte. Außerdem fehlte mir etwas die individuelle Bearbeitungsmöglichkeit bei den Layouts und auch die Auswahl der Layouts reichte mir nicht. Oftmals musste ich Abstriche machen. Vielleicht habe ich die Option aber auch nur nicht gefunden. Dass ich die Schrift nicht auf die Bilder setzen konnte, sondern sich alles verschoben hat, wenn ich Schrift einfügen wollte war auch störend. Jetzt habe ich gar keine Schrift im Buch. 

Alles in allem würde ich definitiv trotzdem nochmal bestellen. 30 Euro Rabatt gab es auch was natürlich klasse war.

I ordered a photo book in Portugal, but had created it in the app, and when came to finalise it - it was for uk delivery only. So I had to send it there (and missed the birthday gift date). It took me ages to select and create, and I wasn’t doing it all over again. Imagine my disappointment when I find out, it was actually printed in Germany. Tell me how this makes sense. The quality of the book by the way was good. And I want to know why there is no eu app? I would like to create more, but if I can’t from my phone, I will unfortunately probably have to look at another service provider.

Besides taking a pretty long time to load presets and lagging out a few times the tools are a great use in the app. Sometimes however the images are lagging behind when you choose and background and try moving the image

I saw this book on a DIY You Tube photo video and was blown away by the look. I constructed my book on the mobile app and my biggest complaint is adding text. You are limited by the preset pages they offer. It looks like it’s a different experience on a desk top or lap top but on an iPad it’s very frustrating.  Maybe I add another star once the book is delivered. Stay tuned.

Overall a good app if you want to just print pictures, but if you want to design cards the functionality is broken.  All pictures embed as landscape so you cant make portrait photo cards.  You also cant add a second image, eg one on the front and a second image like product branding on the back as you cant resize or crop any images.

Guess i will just have to use the desktop and online versions and not bother creating on my ipad

Using this app was super easy. I have simply uploaded my photos and the app placed them into the album. Later I was able to rearrange and add some pictures if needed. I haven’t figured out hot to move pictures around and switch them but the rearranged set formats give you plenty of options. Can’t wait for the final product to arrive

I spent a good hour on multiple devices and had a few emails with support trying to even begin a photo project using Saal. I tried the ipad app but it won’t load, i used my MacBook to use the macOS software but there is no file there to download. I tried the website editor and just get a buffering screen that never loads. literally impossible to begin a project. How do they make money if nobody can even order something? Is this company still in business?

Really wanted to use Saal to create a photo book having seen some great reviews and products. However, the app is completely unusable. First it keeps crashing when trying to create a product so you can’t even get to the first stage, then when you do it pops up with a ‘no connection’ message every thirty seconds, and finally I can’t even save the photo book as the app crashes every time I try to create an account. Unfortunately I may have to look elsewhere.

Terrible app. Tried ordering a HD metal print with black floating frame. Every time I tried to adjust the size I wanted to order from the default size the app would crash and close. After 7 attempts with each resulting in the app crashing I gave up.

I have spent a great deal of time trying to produce a ‘professional’ photo book using this app - which does not sync with the desktop version so I couldn’t use that to complete it. 
I had repeated problems with adding text to the cover - text formatting changing; repeated text boxes which then would not delete. I only persisted because I had spent so much time adding the photos and formatting the book. 
I don’t think I will be using it again.

This app seems like it’s great, but when you start to try to use it’s features it quickly shows it’s true colors. The photo album editing features are extremely glitchy, making it nearly impossible to customize a photo book. Trying to make a login caused the app to get stuck in a freeze loop of some sort and I had to restart. The way it crops photos in photo albums makes no sense, and when I tried to fix it the edits didn’t stay. Also the difference between the different ways to make a photo book isn’t clear at all — one seems to make full screen photos and the other makes collages? I have no idea.

The company is also deceptive. Steer clear.

### 1/5 — Poor use of my time -regret receiving the voucher

I was given a discount code to purchase a professional line photo book but when I arrived at the shopping cart- the voucher was only worth £90. So the offer had been falsely advertised. 

There are multiple issues with uploading the pictures using the app on your iPhone. I used pictures from an iPhone 12. But even when pictures were described as good quality - those pictures in the finished photo album were of very poor quality. Had I known that there was a minimum photo quality in terms of megabytes file size or specific pixels I would have followed such guidance. 

After you have selected your pictures - there are priceless with choosing a different page lay out from what is autogenerated. When you pick another layout- the app with create a duplicate of a picture on the same two page spread. When you try to replace the duplicate picture with a different picture from your photo album - it will delete two pictures and create yet another duplicate of an entirely different picture. This needs to be changed - as it’s a technical glitch. 

If there is a lay to pic the layout of the page - and then dragging the pictures you want into the slots first- that would be a lot better than what your current app is programmed to do. 

The description of the cheapest professional line book is not clear and needs a better image or video description. I purchased the cheapest version of the book to get a feel of the product before I go ahead and recommend this for peoples weddings or anniversaries or graduation etc, the photo albums front page looks like a thin heavy clear table mat that has been attached to the front of the book. 

The title box on the front of the photo album that is pasted over the picture of my choice is very ugly. It’s just a plain big white square. If I could change the font of the writing that would make it more pleasing to the eye.

The app user interface needs to be made more user friendly. If you expect customers to use this app on e.g. a iPhone 12 mini

You need to factor in that it’s not easy to add writing into the text boxes with the pictures when then layout keeps glitches once you select a different  two page layout. 

There needs to be a way to upload pictures from places other than Dropbox and your photo album on your phone. Being able to multi select pictures from google drive or through your Facebook and Instagram would be helpful if you want this product to appeal to a younger audience. 

If would help if you could give an idea on the weight of each photo album to correlate with the size of book and number of pages. 

Please give examples of the final book with the font samples and templates at the beginning - before you get to selecting your pictures to upload. 

Please make the postage price more clear throughout. 

If I had known that pictures of good quality - would turn out blurry when blown up to size a4 or a5 on a page- I would have picked entirely different pictures. All in all because of this- I have now got a product which I have no reason. Along side the issue of the voucher being on £90 , not £100. I honestly wish I that had not bothered trying this product. 

As the first project I created glitched - so it became a waste of 5 hours of my time to have to start all over again. 

I had emailed the team to inform them that the voucher wasn’t being redeemed correctly and got no replies. I would get multiple error messages during the creation of the photo books and they would occur every time I swiped left to select a different page layout. 

This app and product was a poor use of my time. I am surprised that postage would cost over £12, considering that the shipping code did not work and I could not personally track the product. It kept telling me that the waybill number was wrong. Even though I had copied and pasted it directly from the email from DHL. 

It is not clear whether the feedback (in exchange for the voucher) you have requested on the professional line products is just for your design team or the website in general. 

Even with the voucher - I was charged over £24. This is for a product I didn’t need. So overall it was a waste of my time and money. 

The response I received from the company was that all my issues would have been resolved if I had followed the online videos and instructions. But in reality the app has many design errors and glitches repeatedly. 

I would not recommend people paying this amount of money for products which have a poor finish. There needs to be a final design check at the end before the photo album is created so that the customer doesn’t end up with a album full of grainy pictures.

Got a free voucher which I thought why not give it a try. After spending half an hour selecting pictures when I came to title page it is not going any further. Complete waste of time. Already read another review which says the same and the developer commented that they cannot reproduce the same error. I think they need to test it properly then advertise

Hallo zusammen. Bevor man sich eine App holt, mit der man ein Fotobuch auf dem Handy erstellen kann, liest man erst mal alle möglichen Rezensionen. Auffallend ist, dass viele Menschen auf hohem Niveau Kritik üben. Das kann ich so nicht bestätigen! Trotz des kleinen Displays bin ich sehr gut mit der Benutzeroberfläche und ihren Funktionen zurecht gekommen. Am Anfang hatte ich noch ein paar kleine Probleme damit, dass sich Bilder untereinander ausgetauscht oder überlappt haben, aber nach einer kleinen Gewöhnungsphase ging das auch super leicht von der Hand und passierte nicht mehr! Außerdem kann man jederzeit auf ‚rückgängig‘ klicken. Sehr sinnvoll finde ich die Anzeige, welches Bild man schon benutzt hat. Auch die Hilfslinien. Ich habe nicht automatisch ausfüllen lassen, sondern selbst erstellt. Hintergründe, Rahmen, Schriftart, Bearbeitungsoptionen… alles ausreichend da. Ich war sehr begeistert. Auf das Ergebnis warte ich nun sehr gespannt. Dankeschön.

P.S.: Wow, einmalig. Super schnelle Bearbeitung. (Do erstellt/Samstag Vormittag schon da!)

Ich habe zum 1. Mal mich mit der Saal Digital App beschäftigt und fand die App, das beste was Intuition, Anwenderfreundlichkeit und Funktionalität angeht, in diesem Bereich Fotobucherstellung. Normalerweise breche ich ja zwischen drin immer völlig genervt ab. Während des Befüllens der Seiten bekam ich sogar Lust mit anderen Designvorschlägen für das Seitenlayouts zu spielen und zu variieren. Das war für mich totales Neuland!
Ich hab noch mehr Fotos, die ich in Fotobücher umwandeln will. Mein Gefühl sagt mir, mit der App schaffe ich das! 2 Daumen hoch!!!

Ich habe bei der Software keinerlei Beanstandung. Sie ist nach kurzem rein stöbern leicht zu erlernen, schnell in Sachen Bilder hoch laden und man hat permanent die Kosten im Überblick. Zudem ist die Qualität echt verdammt gut und der Preis angemessen! Auch Bilder über die Buchmitte sind keinerlei Problem!

Wenn man erst einmal angefangen hat, wird es immer leichter und schöner auch! Die Software ist einfach zu bedienen und hat mir sehr geholfen, ein gutes Endprodukt zu produzieren. 
Ganz besonders hat mir gefallen, dass ich gleich mehrere Bilder auswählen konnte und dass die Suche dort stehen blieb, wo ich meine Bilder gesucht und gefunden hatte!
Ich kann das Erstellen mit der Saal-Software nur empfehlen. 
Jetzt bin ich gespannt auf das Endprodukt!

Ich habe ein Fotobuch mit dieser App gestaltet, nachdem ich einen Gutschein gewonnen hatte.
Es hat alles gut funktioniert, manchmal dauerte das Laden etwas länger, nachdem ich eine Veränderung vorgenommen hatte.
Es gibt viele Auswahlmöglichkeiten, wie man die Seiten gestalten kann, ob es die Anordnung der Bilder ist oder die Schriftart und so weiter.
Ich war sehr zufrieden und bin gespannt, wie das Fotobuch in natura aussehen wird!

I didn’t expect much from this app as most like it are very glitchy. It REALLY exceeded my expectations! I made my art into a professional photo book and the process was pretty self explanatory. The features were easy to use, pages were easy to reorder, and changing the layout of each page was a smooth process. They had great design options/features that were easy to add or subtract from my project. I had no issue with glitching or lagging, and I LOVED that they had an option for me to save my project and come back to it later.

I don’t usually write reviews but as I received a generous voucher for my thoughts….. Overall the app is really easy to use and very intuitive. I can’t comment on the quality of the photo book as I only finished the design and uploaded yesterday. I didn’t use the quick automatic creation as I wanted some control over the order of photos in the book. There are so many different choices for layouts including one image across two pages which is great for panoramas. 

OLD VERSION [My main criticism is the option to add text. Firstly I couldn't see a way of choosing which of the two pages being edited to add text to (it defaults to right and then left but with different default font sizes (66 & 36 respectively)- it would be great to be able to set style for the whole book upfront. Also adding text after placing photos sometines causes the page layout to change and without a back button it is not easy to revert and on some occasions the originally chosen layout is no longer an option! It would be nice to be able to place text anywhere including in the middle of a two-page spread eg. title for a panorama.]

UPDATE -  I have just updated the ipad app and the photos no longer change positions when adding text. The text design features are so much better- I look forward to my photo book arriving and using the improved app in the future
