Livid that I’ve wasted 2 hours this morning on multiple devices just trying to access some local English news sources I thought were reliable 😡😰😡😡🤬😤! ### 1/5 — SABC NEWS APP *2021-03-29, version 0.1.6* Contrary to other ratings, this is a most unreliable news app. Despite having excellent WiFi, the SABC News App gets stuck for hours without updating the news items. Other apps selecting SA news are far more reliable and informative. A good word: the radio channels are a pleasure catering for a wide spectrum of interest. Not so good: Unfortunately, SABC TV News has become stereotypical. Lazy loading at weird times. Look at the mobile screen space when using components such as videos. Can you look at material design principles and rules when using tabs and how to use them. Content hierarchy is bad and the entire global navigation is weird ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — This app is amazing 😍 *2022-04-04, version 2.1.1* As a student that’s currently studying towards a degree that is relatively intertwined with current events, I was looking for a news app that posted regular news updates and I really appreciate that this app has everything that I wanted and more. It makes keeping up with current events so easy (I struggled with this a bit prior to finding this app). I was pleasantly surprised to find out that it also offers a variety of radio stations AND the SABC news channel. Being able to access all of this on my phone (all in the same app!!) is so convenient.
