AI Event Scout — A daily automated system that discovers food and drink events across your cities. Runs every morning at 6 AM CT via Vercel Cron, searches Ticketmaster with 30+ food-specific queries (food festivals, brunches, wine tastings, happy hours, night markets, cooking classes, etc.), then uses Claude Haiku to curate only genuinely food-related events. Scouted events are stored in Firestore with a 14-day TTL and automatically appear in the Events tab as SABOR Picks alongside live Ticketmaster events.
Hybrid Events Feed — The Events tab now pulls from two sources in parallel: SABOR scouted events (AI-curated food picks from Firestore) and Ticketmaster live events (music, sports, arts, comedy). SABOR picks show first in dedup priority. Events are sorted chronologically with food events prioritized within the same date.
Backend Cleanup — Removed all broken integrations (Eventbrite deprecated API, Resy blocked API, OpenTable JS-rendered SPA, Yelp $299/mo paywall). Stripped debug output from events.js for production. Scout is lean — Ticketmaster only until revenue supports premium APIs.
