David Higgins’ deck follows the pattern of the RWS Tarot, but with a more dramatic and theatrical sensibility. The Tarot archetypes generally have more dynamic body positions, and the characters meet our eyes more often. While many of the scenes are inspired by the RWS, there are also innovative visual metaphors that resonate with modern tastes: the Sacred Isle Death card is deeply metaphysical, and completely dissimilar to Pamela Colman Smith’s famous dark rider.

These cards are so beautiful. Each piece of art so unique, vibrant, the imagery really grabs your attention. I looked for a new deck in the App Store for 45 min, looking through all the styles and different art… I finally chose this one and am so glad I did. I don’t have to tell you they work, if your here you already know tarot works if you believe and want it too.

Brilliant functionality. I love to draw a quick card for the day at breakfast and have the app with me to check card meanings or do a reading whenever I want. It also convinced me to buy the actual deck, which I really recommend as David Higgins' images are lush and speak strongly (at least to me). Brilliant app.

...and a nice functionality to this programme. The shuffling, cutting and riffle animations are well-rendered. The interpretations for the cards seem pretty good (accurate) too.

It would be great if they start making physical copy of this deck available and they give more detailed meaning of the cards in the app
