## What is Safe For Humans?

SafeForHumans tells you what's actually in your food.

Point your camera at a product. We scan the label, look it up across the EWG Food Scores database, Open Food Facts, USDA FoodData Central, and the NIH supplement database, and tell you exactly what to watch out for — banned ingredients, additives flagged by the EU, items on EWG's Dirty Dozen list, and current European recall alerts.

THREE WAYS TO SCAN
• Lookup mode — point at one product. Get a full breakdown of ingredients, additives, allergens, Nutri-Score, NOVA group, and EWG concerns.
• Compare mode — scan a whole shelf. We rank every product we find by safety and highlight the best choice.
• Search — type a brand or product name to look it up directly.

• Ingredients banned or restricted in the European Union
• Items on EWG's Dirty Dozen list of ingredients to avoid
• Ingredients banned from Whole Foods Market shelves
• Additives that trigger required warning labels in the EU

For every product we cover, you'll see:
• A side-by-side carousel of catalog images plus the photo you just took
• A plain-English verdict on overall safety
• Tap-through cards for each flagged ingredient — what it is, why it's flagged, where it stands with regulators
• Nutrition breakdown: calories, Nutri-Score, NOVA processing group, key nutrient bars
• EWG top findings and concerns where available
• Source links so you can verify everything yourself

Your scan history stays on your device. We don't track you, sell your data, or require an account. Camera images are sent to our backend only to identify the product and are not retained.
