Yet customers must turn off this protection. Putting customers at risk because it always doesn’t get turned back on. I kept getting the “Oops, something went wrong” error every time I tried to connect to MacAfee There are too many websites and Apps that seem to be incompatible with this VPN. I have to turn it off in order to connect to these sites. This includes virtually every App and webpage that requires a login It far too cumbersome to use McAfee when I constantly have to deactivate it in order to access certain Apps and websites. You also are unable to connect to sites like Hulu and Netflix, etc., using this as you get an error message that you are connected to a VPN, which they no longer allow customers to do. Update November 22 2025 My VPN on iPhone and iPad will still not connect. I am a user of McAfee with NO subscription. I have not turned on McAfee VPN this month, and today I tried to turn it on. As you know, the monthly protection for users that have not subscribed is limited to 250 MB. At the bottom of my home page, it says I have not used McAfee’s protection at all this month (0%), which is true. However, when I pressed the button to turn VPN on, it showed a bubble that said: “Sorry, we’ve already protected 250 MB of data for you this month.”, which is not true. I need my protection, so please fix this problem for me ASAP. It is an inconvenience for me.
