It’s a good concept though. I used this app to report a tip and they said “We only help with school related issues.” When it was one and not doing anything besides that. ### 3/5 — The app is good it's just horrible. *2023-09-26, version 4.0.0* When I talked to whomever on the other side I left like I was talking to a robot. As well, why does it automatically submit the tip if you scroll down. Please fix now this is a very annoying feature. ### 1/5 — take ts off the app store bru *2023-03-31, version 4.0.0* sheila bagenshire- lichtenwalnerrightingham does not recommend ### 3/5 — amazing idea, has some issues *2022-12-09* Safe2Say PA is an amazing concept, but it was poorly executed. First off, the app looks ancient. The dimensions are too small and it’s very dull. I think a bright, new design would attract more users to the app. Another thing I’m not a big fan of is anonymous reporting. With this system, there is a LOT of potential for prank or fake reports which can be dangerous or not very ‘safe’. (see what I did there?) There should be someway to verify the user and make sure the request is legit. An example could be a student email which can be reached by the school, need be, or a student ID card that has to be uploaded along with the request. (This can allow people monitoring these requests to prove if they are legit.) I think some other finishing touches such as a more easy to navigate home page, or even a number to text instead of call could be a good idea. Finally, I just wanted to add that I do think this is a great idea and a way to keep schools safe, I just think it needs a few changes. 🙂 - Review Updated: Fri, December 9th, 2022 @ 6:35 PM EST ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — A serious review *2026-03-11, version 4.0.0* I was worried for the safety of someone who was SH and I thought they were going to commit. I contacted safe to say and the conversation was fine. However, cops showed up to my house NAME DROPPED me when this is supposed to be anonymous, and then left. While they were very kind, they did not do anything. In fact, the whole situation was made worse as that person now knew I was the one who made the report. After that, nothing ever happened. I thought the school councilor may be contacted, or idk anything else. I understand why the cops came and am not at all upset about that, but I am upset about the fact that 1. I did not remain anonymous, and 2. No further action was taken. The situation got worse, not better. And months later it is still rapidly declining. I appreciate the efforts taken to create this app, the responders, and everyone in between. However I am also very disappointed. I’m not sure what may need to be chanced but if you are a developer to this app, or someone who works for it: please I urge you to look into this to improve the system.
