Attempted to request booking and sat loading for an extremely long time - eventually cancelled and gave up. Unfortunate as was trying to use this to book with the well-renowned taxi company Inverness Taxis. I’ll now be using another company instead for my booking. Having heard a lot of hype around SafeKab it doesn’t come close to living up to expectations as it can’t be used. Simple issues like this should be resolved before the hype in marketing. Would suggest this is remedied for the sake of Inverness Taxis moving forward. ### 1/5 — Not working *2023-08-19, version 1.24* App doesn’t allow me to select destination. ### 1/5 — Almost as poor as booking by telephone *2023-06-23, version 1.11* Not even able to register ### 2/5 — It allows bookings and tracking but missing some important options *2026-05-25, version 1.26.27* The app is handy and allows bookings and tracking of your taxi, once it’s on its way. However it foresees you to pay up front for the taxi and then won’t allow you to amend your booking afterwards, only cancel it. Doesn’t give any option really as nobody ever answers the phone number when calling to do this either. Hopefully the app is updated to allow the bookings to be amended. ### 2/5 — Do not recommend *2025-03-20, version 1.25.40* Useless app. Takes payment but is “unable to take booking”. ### 3/5 — Often inaccurate even post update *2026-07-15, version 1.26.31* Use this very frequently and have for some time. On the whole it’s great in a city that does not use Uber. However, so often driver location woefully inaccurate or delayed, even after a new update. Also when wanting picked up at let’s say, Tesco - it automatically populates the street address which results in drivers calling. I’d like to see improvements as on the whole it does work. ### 3/5 — Works some of the time *2025-02-16, version 1.25.20* The app is very slow at times and sometimes doesn’t show the job I’ve booked. I’ve had to ring the office a couple of times to confirm that my taxi is coming as the app doesn’t show it. I prefer the app due to it being a set price so I know exactly what I’m paying and sometimes they have had offers on but it definitely needs some optimisation in places. ### 5/5 — Brilliant service!! *2026-07-17, version 1.26.31* I use SafeKab anytime I need a taxi. It is safe and reliable. All staff are friendly and kind. They have never let me down!! The pain is the pick up point selection - it defaults to wherever you are - so if you are abroad then you have to scroll the map endlessly to drop a pin in the UK. Please provide an option to enter address as the pick up point or select current location. Otherwise - super smooth experience.
