### 5/5 — A must have app for moms!

*2026-08-06*

As a mom, one of my biggest priorities is feeling safe and knowing I have support when I’m out with my children. SafeMom is such an amazing idea because it creates a sense of community and reminds moms that we don’t have to navigate everything alone.

I love the concept of having a trusted network of local moms who can look out for each other, whether it’s through safety alerts, check-ins, or simply knowing there are other moms nearby who understand. Motherhood can feel isolating at times, and having a resource built around connection, awareness, and safety is incredibly valuable.

SafeMom gives me extra peace of mind when I’m running errands, going to parks, attending events, or just living everyday mom life. I’m excited to see this community grow and highly recommend it to moms who want to feel more connected and supported.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.0.3 — 2026-08-17

Bigger update than usual. SafeMom has a new navigation bar, a rebuilt emergency
experience, and built in help on every screen.

- Help where you are. A "?" at the top of a screen opens the guide for that screen,
  including the host tools.
- One consistent top bar across the app, with back, the screen name, and your
notifications always in the same place.
- Emergency rework. Responders now see one clear next step at a time, can say they
are on the way or that they have arrived, and can hand off to someone else. The
person who raised the alert can post updates to everyone responding.
- An alert that goes answered now ends with a clear result rather than a false
  all clear.
- Checking in when you arrive at an event now marks you as attending it.
- Event times show the event's own time zone.
- Host tools rebuilt: capacity that saves, a guest list that shows who has arrived,
  and event check in.
- Community feed redesigned, with photos on group and event cards.
- Many fixes to notifications, check ins, the live map and event reminders.

SafeMom is not a replacement for 911. In a life-threatening emergency, always call 911.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-08-03

Your group's plans, beautiful and shareable.

A CALENDAR YOU CAN SHARE
- Post a designed weekly agenda image of your group's events, ready for group chats and social feeds.
- Export month or agenda views as clean, printable PDFs.
- Both carry a QR code that opens your group's live calendar, so anyone can jump straight in.

EVENTS THAT TRAVEL
- Hosts can now share any event as a polished image card with the date, time, place, and a scannable QR code.
- Sharing links are cleaner and simpler everywhere.

WE'RE LISTENING
- New in Settings: report a bug or send feedback right from the app. It goes straight to our team.

SAFER GROUPS
- Private groups now review join requests before someone new is welcomed in.

Plus plenty of polish and fixes throughout. Thanks for looking out for each other.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-07-31

SafeMom has been redesigned, top to bottom.

- A calmer Home that leads with what needs you: your next event, safety updates nearby, and one tap to check in.
- Community rebuilt - the week's plans up front, bigger event cards, and your groups at a glance.
- A real group calendar: month view with colour-coded event types, plus an agenda for the days ahead.
- Event pages redone - see who is going before you go, check in when you arrive, and message the host.
- Notifications you can act on right from the row: RSVP, accept a Safety Network request, approve a post.
- Replies on group posts, plus reporting and blocking on posts, comments and members.
- Clearer Settings, with location sharing, notifications and privacy in one place.
- Many fixes to check-ins, event reminders and alert delivery.
