Would give 0/5 if I could. ### 1/5 — Requires Dual Authentication Every Day *2021-08-25, version 2.12.46* This app was great last year, but I uninstalled it over the summer and reinstalled it for the start of the fall semester. Now every morning instead of remembering my credentials, it requires me to spend five minutes trying to log in using the institution’s SSO, dual authentication, and app’s privacy statement. It’s a waste of precious time when you are trying to get to class or work on campus. Last year’s app was much better because it remembered your credentials and took you straight to the app after a short delay. I’m required to use this for my university and it’s so buggy that it says you need a test every other day. It’s a good idea, but it flops in application. My kid needs the Covid test and since the setup screen says something along the lines of “This is the account you will use for Covid testing,” I used her name. I don’t see a way to change the information in the profile after realizing my mistake. Not very good user interface design. ### 1/5 — Good luck Logging In *2021-04-23, version 2.12.31* The app will arbitrarily not allow you to sign in with your school email. This is a huge issue with finding a slot in your schedule to get tested when it doesn’t let you sign in. ### 1/5 — Awful System *2021-04-15, version 2.12.31* It took me 15 minutes to log in the first time because it wouldn’t accept my school credentials. I had to end up using my friend’s email to even get to the home page where I could input my own information. We don’t have to.” During installation there is little to no explanation of why various set up choices are requested or required. The app is being required by work often on short notice so explanations would be appreciated. It asks for complete access to one’s photo library and requires that library to be in the cloud to save the encryption key. Pardon? There’s no other way? I don’t and won’t link my phone to a cloud server. I hit the “agree” button but I get an error message saying that it failed to save my response. This happens every time I hit the agree button. So now I can’t see the status of my most recent covid test. They requested access from me and I approved them, after which they were able to get their COVID tests. Great compatibility between Safer Community and Safer Illinois apps. ### 4/5 — This is impressive for it’s integration *2021-03-09, version 2.12.3* You log in with your schools credentials which is impressive for such a short rollout. The information in your account shouldn’t need a button to confirm changes. The state should change as the input is entered. I’m guessing the UI was updated recently because for me it didn’t bug out. Not really clear the use of the app though other than finding testing locations and times on campus. I’m still unsure how to schedule an appointment at these locations but it’s good to know the schedule and whether I have access to buildings I suppose. ### 4/5 — Works fine so far *2021-02-03, version 2.12.1* On my iphone se it has been working ok. Only small issue that I had was when creating the account I had to scroll down after hitting the continue button, which was less obvious. The other concern is what is stopping people from screenshotting or screen recording the status screen to get into the buildings ### 3/5 — Buggy // black screen *2021-02-22, version 2.12.2* I hate that I have to download an app to schedule my appointments but I guess it helps consolidate the information I started getting a black screen like many other people and I had to delete the app and reinstall it to fix the issue I hope this bug gets fixed soon... Mostly annoying but overall not bad ### 3/5 — Scroll down to create account *2021-01-20, version 2.12.0* To create an account you have to scroll down on the first page unless (I assume) you have a large phone screen. This app needs some indicator that it scrolls or to use the space more efficiently. A little scroll bar on the side, or better yet, move the box above the continue button so that it’ll scroll down to it after information is entered. Heck, reduce the space that the back arrow heading has on the top of the screen. So far haven’t had issues scheduling a test because I scheduled it through UNL’s website so that is also an option if there are too many issues. ### 3/5 — Buggy but works for me *2021-01-19, version 2.12.0* Set up was a little long, but the app itself works eh for making appointments. If you tap a notification, you have to close and restart the app to see it. It does alert me at the wrong time for my appointment. I scheduled one for 10a and it alerted me at 4p. I did receive my results within 8 hrs so that’s nice. The app also takes a while to load, so have it loaded before it’s your turn to test. Idk it’s required to attend college, so I’m stuck with it ### 3/5 — Scroll Down *2021-01-18, version 2.12.0* Ok I feel like a grade-A idiot, but I thought the app was broken because I couldn’t get the continue button to work when it wanted me to log in using an email or phone number. No. You have to scroll down. Thought it was the private key they wanted but that was not the case.
