The Safer Walking app has been designed to give vulnerable individuals the security and the freedom to walk outside independently. When used with a registered Safer Walking GPS Locator, the app provides carers and family members with live tracking and notifications of their loved one’s location, as well as a full month’s route history, and two-way voice calls via the SOS button on the Locator. Each Locator can be tracked by up to 5 users linked via the app. As a carer using the Safer Walking app, you’ll also be able to set safe zones so you can receive alerts when the person wearing the Locator enters or exits a zone. The ability to see where my Nan has been in detail is good but being able to set safezones that simply let you know when she wonders too far is by far the most reasuring feature for me.
