These ads often cause me to lose my recordings. Other than that, I like the app. ### 3/5 — Help *2024-07-06* I got locked out help?? I don’t remember setting a password ### 3/5 — Free version is awful *2023-10-07* Thankfully this app isn’t expensive because you really can’t rely on the free version. I ended a recording, an ad popped up, and the recording was just gone. Otherwise a good app but don’t offer a free version if it ruins the purpose of the app ### 2/5 — Unreliable *2023-04-17* The app does whatever it wants. Sometimes it records for hours, other times it stops randomly or doesn’t record at all. It’s utterly unreliable, especially when you have to go in and out of airplane mode. I like the simple design, but you can’t depend on this app. ### 3/5 — Where’s my recordings? *2023-04-05* I’m still on the fence with this app. I like everything except for when I record and for some reason the recording stops and then there’s nothing saved. My entire recording is nonexistent. This has happened the last 3x and it had caused me problems!! If the recording stops it should auto save the recording!! To go to setting you have to type your password or have your Face ID on then after everything you click it takes you back to the recording button screen so if you’re trying to go through all the settings the app will exit you out and back the record screen then will have to type your password or use Face ID to go back into settings. Plus it wouldn’t record a voicemail I was playing on speaker phone. It is just not user friendly and very poorly made. I will be finding a different app and deleting this one for sure. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Great Recorder *2025-03-18, version 1.2.3* Easy to use ### 5/5 — Recording length *2023-08-10* I never write all reviews, but when I downloaded this app, I had a concern about the length the recordings could be or if the app would crash or just stop recording all together if the recording got pretty long. If you have the same concern, read this- Last night, I made a recording and actually fell asleep while still recording. I woke up the next morning with my phone being off, but the mic was still on and I saw I had a seven and a half hour recording that was still going. Through the entire night, even with the phone being off, the recording continued. Overall, I think it’s safe to say I’m no longer concerned about it. Basically instead of writing in a journal I’d just record myself talking out my thoughts. Wanted it to be password protected for my privacy. App is super smooth, really nice design and layout. I actually bought the paid version to remove ads because I thought the app was really good. The recording doesn’t show up on the lock screen, and from a few feet away, you’d think it was a game because of the colour. However, the password I set for it doesn’t seem to be working and I can’t access any important recordings that I might need for a future case. If you could help me recover my recordings, I’d really appreciate that, but aside from the password thing it’s a great app. ### 4/5 — Well *2020-06-19* This would be a decent basic recording app but every time I get a text or call it stops recording and deletes what I had recorded. This was a HUGE disappointment several times because like many, I have a lot of calls and texts coming in & I needed what was recorded. Perks of this app is you can set a passcode so nobody can get in your recordings.
