## What is Safety Agenda Mobile App?

This app has been developed in the frame of a scientific project, aimed at improving patient safety management. Project reference is FISABIO 15/310.

Prospective users are directive staff of hospitals. The app helps them to keep up to date all actions recommended in the field of second victims and patient safety, including norm ISO/UNE 179003:2013.

Usage is straightforward. The app shows a list of recommended actions, organized by categories. Every action has a periodicity (monthly, bimonthly, annual, etc.). The hospital manager must enter the dates when these actions have been carried out, and the app keeps a register of all entered data, in order to classify every action as pending or up to date. The app also generates reports showing the global status of the hospital in terms of fulfillment of all actions. It is also possible to assign specific tasks to different members of the directive staff by enabling or disabling activities.

All data entered in the app is completely private: it is not uploaded to any server and it is not accessed externally; it is only stored in your device. However, users are requested to fulfill two small surveys. The first survey is composed of two questions and must be fulfilled before the first use of the app. The second survey is composed of four questions and must be fulfilled after three months of app usage. The results of these surveys help us to conclude whether the app is a useful tool to improve hospital management in terms of patient safety.

In order to improve usability, the app does not include surveys anymore.

### 1.4 — 2017-03-03

The app has been been given the healthy app badge by a Spanish Health Quality Agency. The new app logo reflects this badge.

### 1.3 — 2016-08-24

- More detailed info about app usage, project team, and scientific procedures used to select the app contents. 
- Users can easily contact the project team via email.
- Users are adviced to connect to a WiFi network whenever heavy data interchange through internet is required (namely, when the videotutorial is accessed in YouTube).
- Privacy information is always accessible from the app.
