SafeZone app is only available at organizations using the SafeZone solution !!! !!! You MUST use your organizational email (University or Work) in order to sign up !!! SafeZone is a FREE app that connects you directly to your organization's response team when you need help. When you are in any SafeZone area designated by your organization, you will be able to: • Get help in an Emergency, • Get help when you or someone near you needs First Aid, • Contact the response team for Help in less urgent situations, • Check-In to share your status with the response team when working alone, access safety tips and advice relevant to your location, and • Receive Emergency Notifications and guidance during critical incidents. The SafeZone service is specific to geographical areas that have been defined by your organization. You can find out what areas are covered by tapping the "Regions" menu item in the app. When you raise an Alert (Emergency, First Aid or Help), response team members will be alerted to your situation and location so that they can coordinate to help you quickly and effectively. SafeZone will operate at any location, however if you press and Alert button when you are outside one of the defined areas, your app will tell you you're outside the SafeZone area and offer you a single-tap call to the local emergency services number. Failing to check in at crucial moments, whether it’s manual or automated. ### 1/5 — Buggy *2026-02-17, version 3.194* The app will spontaneously pop up for absolutely no reason and come into the foreground. The red emergency button can then be accidentally pressed. This has happened many times already over the years on this new iphone 17 pro and on my previous iPhone 13 mini, but most times i was able to cancel it in time. But it just happened to me now whilst i was asleep at 1:45am, and i didn’t know. Security called me back but i was asleep and phone was on silent, so it didn’t ring. Thankfully I’m a light sleeper so i realised it and called security back immediately to let them know I’m ok!! I am unable to tolerate this app anymore and have just deleted it. I’d probably feel a little less safe every now and again, but good riddance!! ### 1/5 — Badly made app *2026-01-22, version 3.192* There are many reviews stating this app is bad for policy reasons - over reliance on apps as a replacement for trust and all that, but there’s a bigger picture here. This app is just… really bad! Whether you pick the fact that it clearly doesn’t use modern size class APIs and has some very iOS 6 looking buttons in there, this app is partying like it’s 2010, and it’s not afraid to flaunt it. But the icing on the cake was when I entered the “diagnostics” screen and just couldn’t get out of it. No back button, nothing. Does this app work? Maybe. Does this app succeed in making a few people a sum of money by selling it to people for whom “compliance” is a headline feature. Absolutely. Is it designed for people to actually use in any way whatsoever? No. The developers will never read this, or indeed any of these reviews, as they’ve moved on to selling some other terrible “compliance” app no doubt, and I’m sure will be scrambling for the password to the GIT repo for this one when an iOS update breaks it even more than its current state. But just for me, and anyone reading this who appreciates good design, and what iOS Apps should’ve, this app deserves to be punished by a 1 star review. You’re welcome. Brought to you by the purveyors of “The Leading Safety, Security, Wellbeing and Emergency Management Solution” - how lovely that the app can also dispense much needed mental health support (outsourced, canned and depersonalised), something University senior management can then refer to in their weekly mental health emails to demonstrate their passionate commitment to staff and student wellbeing. ### 5/5 — Fantastic app! *2025-03-06, version 3.172* This is such a helpful app, it’s really made me feel safe on campus. ### 5/5 — Amazing Safety Resource *2025-01-08, version 3.168* SafeZone is a great app to keep safe on campus and to see where the shuttle is. Also lets you access wellbeing help. ### 4/5 — Very useful app but here is one suggestion… *2024-12-05, version 3.168* Just now I used the app and managed to contact the security of the school to help me out for a non-emergency case. However, I notice that the app would not allow me to call them only but will set off the alarm by default under category of “help”, which is not emergency level. And the security was questioning me why I set off the alarm for a normal case…I was very embarrassed since I didn’t want that either. T_T I do see the different options there on the main page for different level of emergency cases. But unfortunately I have to trigger the alarm from the “help” option, which is compulsory. Ideally it would be helpful if you could give the user the choice to decide whether or not to set off the alarm for non-emergency cases, so that it would not create unnecessary panic among the people and the security team. Just for your notice. Still, good app to support people experiencing potential threatening and inconvenience. Also really appreciate our school security team from UOB ❤️. ### 1/5 — Would be useless in an emergency *2024-07-18, version 3.162* I’m in an endless loop of it asking me to sign in with my e-mail address, sending me to my university SSO, validating, showing me my details, giving me only a sign-ON button, and then telling me my account already exists.
