They don’t add an unlimited ink amount so I spend more money than the Ultra subscription just to get more ink. If it lags, restarts, deletes, or you need to regenerate then it all costs you ink that won’t be refunded to you so you’re just wasting ink on something that isn’t even your fault for happening. If you change the chat, it will still follow the chat before the change instead of what is there so you have to fix that as well and that’s even more ink. I have messaged them several times with problems on their app and they never reply. So they can take your money, but can’t fix it, can’t refund the ink THEY wasted, and can’t even reply to you…are they even trying or just taking the money and waiting for everyone to say screw it and dump their app before they do anything? You have to walk it through sometimes because its memory doesn’t always keep up. For some reason I noticed some AI do better in some stories that others in the app and it’s actually becoming infuriating that they can take the money but can’t keep their own work or the work to make people want to keep paying. When it works, it’s amazing. When it doesn’t, it makes you consider canceling the subscription, report for a refund from your App Store and delete the app entirely. ### 2/5 — Not worth it *2026-08-10, version 2.2.1* There are better AI apps. This one has no ads so it’s either a paid subscription or wait for a daily refill to get about less than 10 minutes of messages a day. I would recommend c.ai for ads but unlimited messaging or Y/N for no Ads and limited messaging but has way more free messaging than this app. ### 3/5 — Pay to play to the max. *2026-08-05, version 2.2.1* Really wish we had more than 10 replies a day, or at least that regenerating a response didn’t cost one of our ink points. They decided to change that without notification and when I reached out to support, it took three days for them to answer that they discontinued that benefit in May. I emailed the same day asking why I was never notified. It's been 17 days and no response. Feels like they don't really care about those who have been with them since the beginning. ### 4/5 — really like the app but would love to see it improve even more 💜 *2026-05-29, version 2.2.0* I love this app and want to keep using, I pay for the subscription. I wish the search function was better and you could search tags. Also I wish you could edit your story’s title once created because it’s difficult to figure out which branch of the story is which also having character profiles (that you don’t play as, just to help with the prompts) would be amazing too, since there only so much space for the story and I like having multiple and detailed characters. Also an option to make it to where it’s more of a chat like where the characters don’t like ask you multiple questions and then just move on, it’s kinda frustrating ### 2/5 — Says it’s for 18+ but now it’s restricted for children aged players. *2026-05-21* I used to love playing this app before they started adding more and more restrictions to it. This game is supposed to be for 18+ but they’re adding restrictions for kids who shouldn’t even be in the app. And when you are playing a story where you’re playing quidditch at Hogwarts, and you’re supposed to put your background in the persona, you can’t do that when you’re being restricted. My character played quidditch as a kid but I can’t put it in there because they automatically change it to nineteen for children. IT IS A CHILDHOOD PIECE IN A BACKGROUND! Nothing bad happens in a persona! So since they keep adding more restrictions to it for kids who aren’t even supposed to be on it, I’m canceling my subscription and looking for something else. Last I checked, it’s not everyone else’s problem to watch your kids. Legal age people can’t have anything nowadays. ### 3/5 — It's not great it's ok *2026-05-20, version 2.2.0* It's definitely not a bad game unless your super creative and want the story line to stay on track because AI will add stuff you didn't add to the story, it will make your character speak or do things without you putting it, it will have the other characters no where around but put it as if they know what your doing or going to say before you ever put anything like they are creepy stalkers with a hidden mic or camera following you around. It doesn’t even retain consistency let alone character. In scenes with multiple characters, the bot kept swapping around roles and actions with each other to the point of incoherence. I put a LOT of work into setting up the vibe and story I wanted, and I feel so stupid, because everything, when it IS coherent, is PROFOUNDLY generic. And any time anything was passable, it’s because I WROTE IT IN MY META NOTES! I wrote dialogue style examples and it dropped them in when they weren’t even relevant. BUTTT *2026-07-03, version 2.2.1* The layout of this app is absolutely phenomenal. Not to mention from what I've seen so far, the bots actually have personality, follow instructions, and are easy to work with. I also really really like all of the features like adding permanent instructions, being able to be and type as another character in the story.. And just how easy and convenient the tools are to work with. However. There is no reason I should only have TEN inks.. And it takes a full day to refill. Literally every action in the story takes ink. So when I have to make adjustments, I have like five ink to work with. What kind of roleplay is going to get good in five messages? It's just.. not enough to work with unfortunately. Which is why I'm giving it a single star. It's an amazing app with so much potential.. But how am I supposed to enjoy this app to it's fullest potential if I can't really use it? I'd recommend giving MUCH more messages to work with everyday. Like 50 or 100. I'd also make it so that we can watch ads for more ink. This app is great, but.. it's pretty bad if you can't actually play it. ### 1/5 — 10 inks within 15 hours *2026-06-19, version 2.2.1* The game use to be fun and so worth the five star rating but they now have implemented this subscription system and you only get ten inks within 15 hours and it's one ink any time you type to add to the story or anything. It let me have about 5 messages for free before I ran out. I thought eventually ink would come back so I could use it more but no. They just want you to spend absurd amounts of money on this silly little game. I could do the same thing on like chat gpt. The free Ink that they give you in the beginning goes quick and there’s no way to get any for free, you have to pay and it’s so much. I had put my card in to get 1 month to try it out and then cancelled it so I wouldn’t be charged again. After a few weeks I decided to move on from the app and deleted my account. For the last 3 months they have billed me even though I had canceled my subscription. I’ve reached out to my bank and the company and monthly they still charge me. They told me to log in and cancel my subscription which I already did. It strikes the perfect balance between giving you creative freedom and helping you build incredible stories. Whether you’re into romance, fantasy, horror, slice of life, or anything in between, the AI adapts so well to your ideas. The developers are constantly improving the app, adding new features, listening to feedback, and genuinely caring about the community they’ve built. The new Saga Worlds feature has taken creativity to another level, making it possible to build entire universes instead of just individual stories. The community is welcoming, supportive, and full of talented creators who inspire each other every day. If you love interactive storytelling or just want a place to let your imagination run wild, I can’t recommend Sagaland enough.
