I want to know more about what happens when I provide a guest’s phone number to you, what happens when they register, do they just wave the app at the gate? Idk what to expect at all. Give me some idea on how the process works from start to finish 😢 Plllllease remove guests after their visit has expired. I don’t want to see my pizza delivery from two months ago on here. ### 2/5 — Too complex *2026-06-19, version 3.1.16* This app makes you click the same buttons over and over with a new guest. It’s super annoying. And guest have to download the app, why? ### 2/5 — Too many required fields and oddities *2026-05-29* The app has promise, but it makes things too complicated. You should not have to go through so many steps just to add a one time visitor. Why do I have to enter a time for both the start and end of a one time visitor? Should be optional if you want to set the times but default to the current day which will cover 99% of guests. Also why to expired guests stay on the list forever. Going to make the list of people unmanageable over time. Don’t make sending pass which will repair downloading the app for guest the default option. ### 1/5 — If I could give it a minus 5 stars I would!!! *2026-05-27* This is without a doubt the worst software I have ever used. It is full of bugs, you cannot get any help when you have problems, whoever designed this really needs to go back to square one. The software that Ramco had was so easy and intuitive, this is intrusive to your guests, invites come from the company which look like spam, I could go on and on… ### 1/5 — unable to login from China *2026-05-27, version 3.1.15* My dad is unable to login from China using the same email and password as I do. I’m able to login from the US. Please help. ### 1/5 — Bad Display *2026-05-14, version 3.1.14* In the ‘add guest’ screen not all days are visible for selection. ### 1/5 — Security and unneeded info required *2026-04-29* Sage requires you to photograph your drivers license. When asked why they needed my drivers license number, date of birth, height, weight etc they just shrugged and said “because”. They have NO legitimate reason to collect this data. Especially since their web site says they can share this with third parties. I would never give them this. Also, put in a service request that was ignored (twice) ### 1/5 — Registration is difficult! *2026-04-18* When it comes time to take a photo of your ID, the camera preview will make it look like your ID will be taken, but once you click capture, it somehow shots the focus down 1/3 of the way so your full ID isn’t captured. You have try many times to shift the preview so that 1/2 of your id isn’t in the preview pane and then click take picture for it to work ### 1/5 — Update *2026-04-05* Trying to update this app was very frustrating. I had to remove it and load it numerous times to finally get it to work and log in to my account. It kept saying Loading Your Profile which never ended!!!!😕 ### 1/5 — Privacy nightmare *2026-03-30, version 3.1.7* I would encourage you to read through this app’s privacy policy and terms of service thoroughly, and reconsider downloading. ### 3/5 — Update *2026-01-05, version 3.1.0* Update ### 1/5 — Don’t Do It! *2025-12-30, version 3.1.0* Terrible access control system and terrible app! Our HOA Board decided to waste our money by changing to this new system, despite nothing being wrong with the former system! This is a total mess. Doesn’t work more often than it does. Very inconvenient! Basically sucks! Stay away - don’t let your HOA make the switch! ### 1/5 — This app is the worst. For a year I still am not the owner on it (which I am) and can’t even add my *2025-11-15* Get this app up to speed and for it to work correctly. It’s Been a year and support does nothing to fix issues. I have tried for one year to be the owner of my property and still no support help. It now doesn’t even show I own my property. Get it together Sage ### 1/5 — Unfortunate Sage Customer *2025-11-15, version 3.1.0* Sage subdivision security gate service is horrible. The app doesn’t allow you to provide an entrance code to provide entrance to your pizza delivery person, Amazon etc etc. Anyone that wants to visit you or deliver anything needs to set up an account with Sage before they can enter. Homeowners in the subdivision should be allowed to give a code good for the day to anyone coming to allow easy access. This app forces you to have to help anyone coming to see you to be taught how to download the app and make an account. It would be better not to live in a gated community than deal with this nonsense. ### 1/5 — Horrible *2025-11-10, version 3.1.0* This app is garbage. It is a very unreliable app that unfortunately my neighborhood uses for the gate. We’ve used it for years, yet it’s never gotten better. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — NOT User Friendly *2026-07-25* Extremely disappointed in this app. It’s asking for complicated personal information to be uploaded. It does not allow access to outside friends without them downloading the app. It seems like this app was only created to have more and more people on it when they don’t actually need to use it. It’s not user-friendly. It’s not convenient. I would not have downloaded it if my HOA did not demand it. ### 1/5 — Horrific UI *2026-07-13, version 3.1.17* Adding OR modifying existing guest access is nearly impossible. If guests don’t accept invite, you must delete and re enter all info. Changing a date or time can not be done. ### 1/5 — Absolute trash *2026-06-22, version 3.1.16* If your community is thinking about switching to this gate access stop right here. This app is garbage and full of bugs and not user-friendly. Every time they do an update. You lose all of your guest data. If someone is from a foreign country, you cannot send them the code. Good luck trying to get an Uber driver or a delivery. To come through your gate, virtually impossible. ### 1/5 — Resident Vista Blue *2026-06-17, version 3.1.16* The Sage System is absolutely horrible. Anytime someone wants to come see you a delivery person, friend, etc. They need to set up a SAGE account and you have to dedicate 30 minutes of your life to helping them get into your subdivision. The Sage APP is a great option. It’s is versatile and can be used among several associations at once. at this time I have two associations in the same area using this app with no complaints. The Sage APP allows for the owners to be in control of their guest entries at all times.
