With the Sail Insight App powered by SAP, sailboat racers can join, set up and manage the GPS tracking for regattas of various formats easier than ever before. One design, as well as single number handicap regattas, are currently supported with ORC PCS Scoring coming soon. The mobile app connects to the SAP Sailing Analytics cloud solution that empowers sailors, coaches and fans to analyze their performance with a rich and unparalleled set of features. Key features of Sail Insight powered by SAP are: • Sign in to a regatta by scanning a QR code • Send your current position on the water to SAP Sailing Analytics • Track your course over ground and speed throughout the race • Allow others to follow your racing live • Compare and analyze your performance post-race • Set up regattas for your Class, Club or training partners • Invite other sailors for a joint tracking session and allow your event to spread virally Note: The mobile app is in a steady improvement process and will be updated on a regular basis in the coming weeks. Crashes sometimes but not sure where or why. Can’t edit or delete races. Can’t see a live map of boats in a race which is what I really wanted. Still haven’t used it in a race with other boats, but my confidence isn’t there yet. ### 5/5 — GOTTA LOVE IT *2021-06-15* Everything and everyone in the race tracked. Small UI and UX fixes and improvements Distance calculator is improved The tracking timer doesn’t restart, it is improved to show time after 24hrs Mark inventory can be updated when saving a course where a mark binding was done using QR code scan from another phone The anonymous user can join the same event that the device has already joined, but they should receive a notification that this device is already registered in this event and that they can start tracking into it. Added support for accurate location settings. Course is copied over to the next races. Fixed the issue with mark duplication in the inventory. The mark established mark bindings are now propagated to the mark inventory (in the case that a current user has write permissions to the event). Fewer conditions for tracking to be initiated. The Landscape mode is now available, it is especially useful for the results page. Easy access to the results editing page. A couple of important fixes: The events that ended are not shown on the tracking list. The Inventory Tab is not shown in the Tab bar until a first course is defined by a user and his marks are created. Restrict race date and time to be within the dates of the parent event. Marks used in gates are now not duplicated in the mark inventory. We are allowing the mark binding to persist even if the user cancels the course creation.
