Your next mark now stays on the lock screen — the buoy and its colours, the bearing to steer, how far to go in nautical miles, and how long it will take you at your current speed. The arrow points where you actually need to head, not at north, and a bar fills as you work down the leg so you can see at a glance how much is left. Before the start it counts down to the gun, second by second, then switches to your first mark on its own. Round a mark and it moves to the next one without you touching the phone. Your phone can stay in your pocket for the whole race. iPhone, iOS 16.1 or later. SEE WHO ELSE HAS SAILED THE LEG Records now open up. Tap any record on a sail — a King of the Water, a personal best, any segment you have timed — and it expands in place to show the top five times for that leg, so you can see who holds it and where you sit. Tap it again to close. No more losing your place: the list stays where it was. ALSO IN THIS UPDATE Marks no longer get skipped while your phone is locked. Start a timer with no course entered and we will say so, before the gun rather than after — you keep your leg times and mark navigation. It never delays the clock. Reset now asks before it wipes the timer, the same as Stop. Trim a race and it replays trimmed, and the card matches. Remove the trim and the whole track comes back.trim it i gue ### 1.5 — 2026-08-13 MORE ACCURATE TOP SPEED Top speed now filters out GPS glitches, so a single bad fix no longer inflates your race stats. The replay speed marker and timeline both land on your real fastest moment. KING OF THE WATER - SEGMENT TIMES Segment times are now recorded for long legs for round the cans sailors. Previously anything over an hour was discarded, so passage races and offshore legs —Fastnet Rock among them — never got a time. They do now. COURSE MARKS ON REPLAYS Marks you rounded now show on imported race replays even when you gave them a wide berth. Islands, rocks and lighthouses are treated differently from inflatable buoys, so rounding a hazard safely no longer hides it from your track. SMOOTHER COURSE AUTO-ADVANCE Rebuilt so the course steps to the next mark more reliably as you round. Plus fixes to race comments and various smaller improvements. ### 1.4 — 2026-07-30 Records & leaderboards are here. Segment leaderboards — see how your mark-to-mark times compare with the fleet, and claim King of the Water for the fastest. Top speed — set a personal best and chase your class's all-time speed record. Longest sail — every new furthest sail earns a title, from "Round the cans" to "The Odyssey." Plus: imported races (VKX / GPX / Garmin) now tag to their venue automatically, and a bunch of fixes and polish. ### 1.3 — 2026-07-27 What's New in 1.3 • Garmin Connect — link your Garmin account and your sailing activities import automatically. • Inflatable & drop marks — tag marks on the water by GPS or bearing/distance; they now replay in the right place. • Smoother replays — fixed a crash on weak connections, plus stability and polish throughout. ### 1.2 — 2026-07-14 • You can now start a race without using the count down timer. • More reliable race tracking — fixed a case where GPS could fail to engage at the start gun, and recordings that could occasionally split into two separate tracks. • Better recording with the phone locked or in your pocket. • Imported races (Vakaros / Garmin) now show the marks you rounded including long harbour and point-to-point races. • Course names are now recovered correctly when a race is saved late. • Notifications: fixed a stuck badge on the app icon.
