App for tracking sailing speed and direction, but also the wind. It has a display optimized for outdoor use. When you participate in a sailing race you can use the start timer. The timer can be adjusted to the wishes and needs of the user. It shows speed and heading and keeps track of race. If tracking is started it monitors the average speed, maximum speed, elapsed time and the distance covered. Wind direction is shown in a wind rose (subscripton required). App can make direct connection with a OpenWind BlueTooth sensor (subscripton required). In that case AWA, AWS, TWA and TWS is displayed in the app. It also has the ability to show a map and tracks the route in an overlay when map is selected and race is started. In setup menu landscape can be selected, the display will rotates accordingly, rearranging the speed or map and the heading for optimal visibility during the sail race. In the settings menu the user can select the units, and the scale of the map during the race tracking. Simply place your phone a a water tight casing on board of your boat, setup your settings and press start. The app will automatically keep tracking your progress, showing current speed and heading. Would be a nice feature. Help?? ### 4/5 — Minimalistic=good *2023-08-08, version 0.1.02* It gives you speed in a nice big number, and I don’t need dozens of other readouts on screen. Really needs to remember settings. Shouldn’t go to metric distances just because speed is set to knots; those should be separately configurable. ### 4/5 — Timer *2018-09-02, version 0.1.01* Very nice tool for sailing. 2 suggestions. Set units so you can keep them set even if shutting off app. Also and vip. Need to be able to set timer to minutes before hitting start. We use a 3 min timer and it is unusable and inaccurate to use ‘swipe ‘ jestures, on the fly, while trying to anticipate the the actual race start counter. Great job. Very nice visibility. Many settings are added so the behavior of the app can be customized to your needs.  Your sail track is stored and can be viewed later.  Help option is added, this can be switched on or off in the setup menu. When switched on help shows valuable information on many topics in the app. ### 0.1.02 — 2020-07-01 Update for iOS 13 and new screen for track summary and some minor improvements. ### 0.1.01 — 2018-05-14 A start timer of 5 minutes. Timer can be selected form the setup menu. When switched on in setup menu and returned with the back button to the main screen, the start button will automatically start the timer of 5 minutes. When timer is running it can be easily adjusted with swipe gestures. Swipe up or down on the screen for adjusting the secondes. Swipe left or right on the screen for adjusting the minutes. The whole screen can be used for this. At 4 minutes the screen will flash yellow and white to indicate the 4 minutes signal before the sail race start. This is usualy a good moment to adjust your timer with swipe gestures. At 1 minute the screen will flash orange and white to indicate the 1 minute signal before the sail race start. At 0 minute the screen will flash red and white to indicate the actual race start.
