Can actually change graphics settings, 11/10
Most emulator apps only offer to degrade the image for that authentic retro feeling. But you know what’s also degraded in the past 25 years? My eyes.
Cranking up the saturation and sharpness does more to make the game look ‘authentic’ to how I remember than all the CRT filters in the world. Thank you. Easily worth a couple of bucks.

crashes on iPhone, good for iPad
I can’t get this app to boot-up on my iPhone. it immediately crashes every time i just try to run the app.
For my iPad, it runs really smooth, and is a great experience. I love that it’s Metal renderer but i don’t like how there’s no way to change per game settings. if i need to turn down settings for a game, all settings must be turned down. this is the one thing really holding back the app once it actually opens.
All-in-all, because it’s metal, for my iPad, this will be my go to, even with the drawbacks, i unfortunately can’t use it on my iPhone if i wanted to.
Update: lately this app has been opening and once it opens it runs smooth. back to 4 stars. if there was individual game settings i think id be 5 stars.

Next level of retro gaming
Sure, there are other options for PS1 emulation, some are even free. But this is an all inclusive package of features you cannot find with those other options. $2 is a steal. What the heck can you buy for two bucks these days? A candy bar?
We always complain about the lack of well thought out, quality retro emulation in the App Store. Well, now we have it and the price of admission is practically nothing.
