## What is Salah Journey?

Prayer times follow the sun. So does Salah Journey — and so do you.

Most prayer apps stop at the timetable. This one knows you travel: it tells you
when a journey has begun, what that changes, and answers it for your school
rather than in the abstract.

The screen is the sky above you right now — deep indigo at Fajr, bright blue at
midday, rose at Maghrib, near black at Isha. At its centre is the sun's own path
across today, each prayer marked where it falls, and a countdown to the next.

TIMES CALCULATED PROPERLY
From the sun's true position at your exact coordinates, not a lookup table.
They match published timetables to within about a minute.
• 11 methods — Muslim World League, ISNA, Umm al-Qura, Karachi, Egyptian,
Diyanet, Tehran, Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait, Singapore
• Both Asr calculations, standard and Hanafi
• Three high latitude rules for long northern summers
• Adjust any prayer by the minute to match your masjid
• Set your location by map pin or by typing coordinates — a city centre is too
coarse, and across a large city that is worth two or three minutes a prayer

TRAVELLING? IT KNOWS
Go far enough from home and the app tells you what that changes.
• Shortening and combining are treated as the separate rulings they are, and
follow your school — the Hanafi position that combining is not permitted
while travelling is stated as such, not glossed over
• Pick your school — Hanafi, Shafi'i, Maliki or Hanbali — and the distance,
the residency rule and the Asr shadow length all follow it
• Hanafi followers choose between the three conversions of the three-day
journey that are actually in use: 77, 88 or 92 km
• Distance is the real driving route, not the straight line, because that is
  what the classical definitions describe
• Check any destination before you set off by dropping a pin on exactly where
  you are going
• How long the journey lasts before you are settled again, per your school —
15 days for Hanafis, 4 for the others

FRIDAY, AND THE TIMES TO AVOID
• Jumu'ah on Fridays at the time your masjid announces — the app never invents
one, it shows Dhuhr as the earliest it may begin
• The three windows in which voluntary prayer is discouraged, at sunrise, at
  zawal and at sunset
• Zawal follows Nisf an-Nahar ash-Shar'i, the midpoint between Subh Sadiq and
sunset, so it opens well before solar noon as South Asian timetables show it.
Every margin is adjustable to whatever your masjid follows.

ON YOUR LOCK SCREEN
• A live countdown on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island
• Widgets for the Home Screen, the Lock Screen and StandBy
• Ask Siri when the next prayer is, or build it into a Shortcut

QIBLA
A compass that turns with you, with the bearing and the distance to Makkah.
Falls back to a bearing from true north on devices without a magnetometer.

MY SALAH
Mark each prayer with one tap — in the app, straight from the notification, or
by asking Siri. Your streak and the last fortnight at a glance. Reminders are
optional, silent by default, and never ask about a prayer you already recorded.
Encouragement, never a scolding.

PRIVATE BY DEFAULT
No account. No advertising. No analytics. No tracking of any kind. Your location
is used on your device and nothing else — there is no server for it to be sent
to. Works entirely offline.

Prayer times are guidance. Rulings shown are reminders, not fatwa. Where either
differs from your local masjid or your own scholar, follow them.
