But if you have other things you’re using in Salesmsg like their AI Agents options and such, the app won’t give you access to any of their stuff. That must all be done via PC/Mac. Which is fine, for now. But considering we have one agent fielding all of our texts it can get a little funky sometimes and I wish I had more capabilities with the agents on the app. ### 2/5 — No Gmail Allowed *2026-02-09* I’m a subcontractor and not letting clients have my personal number is a professional boundary of mine. So, I looked all over, comparing all sorts of second phone line services and was excited that this one looked very promising. Then, I couldn’t even get past the first step of sign up because my business email is from google. I can understand why (screening out scammers and all that), but it’s incredibly disappointing and I have to take my business elsewhere. ### 4/5 — Don’t Use *2025-12-11* Terrible app and service! We switched to this app thinking it’ll be easier to connect to customers and quickly reply to their texts but instead the setup changed multiple times so now it’s not as simple and the app won’t even open. It’s been months since I could use it. Defeats the entire purpose of having this app if I can only access it via the browser. ### 4/5 — Ok ish *2024-07-09* Parts if the app work great. Unfortunately my team members and I often get randomly logged out of the app so sometimes mis messages. The compliance components mean that sometimes text we send don’t get deleivered. Some members of the support team are helpful. Others are awful. I will open the app and it will just freeze at the launch screen. I have to kill the app and reload it to see my texts. Even the prompt that asked me if I was enjoying the app made the app freeze and I have to relaunch it. I landed on salesmsg a couple years ago, and have to say it’s just ok. The customer service is terrible, it has had poor app function throughout the entire 2 years, and it doesn’t have nearly enough features that other services offer. I thought I was stuck with a sub par service since I already had a phone number, and once I realized I could port it over to another service, I jumped at the chance, even though it ended up costing me several hundred dollars. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Do not get this app *2026-05-27, version 1.100.13* Charged me for absolutely no reason and after deleting still has access to my contacts. But not your phone? What’s up with that? Kept playing around with it and upgraded to the paid subscription to see if that would help and it didn’t change. I tried logging into the app to cancel and it’s stuck on the loading screen before the app opens up, tried dozens of times to make it past the loading page. Unable to cancel the app, making it incredibly difficult to cancel a paid subscription auto charging my credit card. Do not use this app. Seems like something sketchy is going on because of you read the other negative reviews, they are experiencing the same thing once they go to cancel the app the app crashes or is “frozen”. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2025-08-13, version 1.78.11* Doesn’t work on newest iOS version ### 1/5 — It’s Okay Not Worth Price *2025-07-10, version 1.76.19* The app is glitchy constantly have to force close it. They also charge you the same price whether you are using their phone service or bringing your own. ### 1/5 — Glitchy, inconsistent *2024-12-11* Our company switched over to salesmsg and it’s been so awful. I miss messages from my clients all the time losing revenue. It does not play well with hubspot either, cannot message more than one person on an acct. was advised by a salesmsg to download the app so I don’t miss messages and now the app is super glitchy. Can only text back half a sentence before it shuts the whole app down and doesn’t even save what I started to write. Have let tech support know and they have no solution. I have updated to the latest version and it still hasn’t helped. Chris was nicely helped me. However, there are still some minor issues that need to be addressed and communicated transparently to all customers. Unfortunately, when I was accidentally overcharged, the customer service representative named David responded only every three days and refused to resolve the issues I encountered. Instead, he referenced obscure policies to justify rejecting the erroneous charges.
