## What is Salita?

SALITA is a Tagalog-centred speech and language aid application that supports individuals with speech and language difficulties. You can use it independently, with caregiver, or alongside professional therapy, as it offers structured, culturally relevant exercises. The app includes comprehension matching (TUGMA), picture naming practice (NGALAN), VNeST-based categories (KILOS), and functional survival phrases (HAYAG) to help users improve their comprehension and expression. The fifth feature, Paghinga, provides simple guided breathing prompts to support relaxation and readiness before or in between speech and language activities. SALITA promotes meaningful, everyday communication through accessible and guided language practice. It is a supplementary practice aid and does not provide diagnosis or replace professional assessment or therapy.
