I originally played it years ago on my computer, and it was an instant purchase when a friend mentioned it was available for iPad. The gameplay is exactly as I remembered, and this type of game does so well on the iPad’s touch-based interface. My only reason for severely down rating my review is that I reopened the game, intending to finish it, as I was in the last city, and discovered that my progress had been completely lost. As in, I had to start from the very beginning. I had no idea what happened, so I chalked it up to a weird glitch, and was mildly irritated, but began anew. I figured out what happened, as I did the exact same thing this evening. I must have pressed the Best Friends button; tonight, I noticed it on the main menu and was curious about what it was. I had stumbled into the Smart Shopper mode on the same screen and briefly enjoyed it, so I thought it was another game mode. NOPE. After replaying the initial story mode screens (the comic at the beginning of the story that explains how Sally ended up here), it again erased my progress and started me from the beginning. This time, I got frustrated and deleted the app. Love the game, but for now, I’ll hold off on starting yet again. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Keeps Deleting My Progress *2026-07-17, version 1.6.101* I just restarted the game after my progress was deleted the first time. As I was going to restart a Rome level, my progress was deleted again. It seems like once you get to the Rome level it's bugged and deletes your progress.
