Paste any recipe URL — blogs, websites, articles
Import from Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook
Scan cookbook pages and handwritten recipe cards with your camera
Batch import entire YouTube playlists or Instagram collections
No more copy-pasting ingredients into your notes app.
Screenshots can be imported too!

COOK WITH CONFIDENCE
Ready to cook? Check off ingredients as you prep then lock in and follow step-by-step instructions with timers and insights built into each step. Rate the recipe with our spoon rating system, snap a photo of the finished dish, and save all your cooked dishes in your personal cooking journal.

LEVEL UP YOUR COOKING
Saltpig turns your kitchen into a progression system. Earn XP and kitchen skills every time you cook, climb from Taste Bud to Taste God, build cooking streaks, and unlock badges. Track which cuisines you're mastering and set weekly cooking goals.

COOK WITH YOUR PEOPLE
See what your friends are cooking in the feed. Ask someone to cook for you with Cook Requests. Plan a potluck or a shared week of meals with Meal Boards, where everyone claims a dish. Share a finished plate straight to your friends or your socials.

Save recipes into smart Cookbooks with tagging that keeps everything sorted. "Weeknight Dinners," "Meal Prep," "Grandma's Classics" — your recipes, your system. Plan ahead and schedule recipes for the week.

### 1/5 — Totally ignores specified diatary restrictions

*2026-06-29*

In setting this up, I specified that I have a dairy restriction in the app’s Food Profile. There was a button to enter that. It wasn’t a text box that had to be interpreted by a human. The first recipe it shows me was a cheese omelette. Um… cheese is a dairy product! There may be other recipes or parts of the app that pay attention to my specified restriction, but I really don’t feel like going through the whole app to find them.

**Developer response:** Thank you for flagging this — you're right, and we're sorry it happened. We traced this to a bug in how dietary restrictions are applied during onboarding, specifically for example recipes. We've prioritized the fix and are correcting it for the next release so restrictions like dairy are reliably caught going forward. Feel free to delete the recipe from your kitchen by accessing the recipe detail page and locate the 3 dots menu--'Remove from kitchen'. We appreciate your feedback.

### 5/5 — Helps to Organize

*2026-06-27*

It's been very helpful with organizing and sharing family recipes with family. The grocery household part helps us grab ingredients and mark it off as we go. This is great for families at different levels of cooking.

### 5/5 — Household

*2026-06-25*

The household/grocery part and meal board planning is really helpful. I request cooks often too.

### 5/5 — This app is exactly what I needed!!

*2026-06-24*

I enjoy cooking for my family and friends, but I’ve always struggled to keep track of recipes I find online. It can get super overwhelming especially when I’m following cooking videos. I often find myself having to pause, rewind and rewatch the videos because I either missed a step or got distracted - very time consuming.

Saltpig has completely changed that for me. Every step is organized into clear, step by step instructions and I can easily track my progress as I’m cooking. Being able to mark steps as “completed ” helps me pick up right where I left off without any confusion

So far, this app has motivated me to cook much more because it makes the entire process far less complicated and stress free. As a bonus, I’ve been eating at home more often/ meal prepping and spending less money on takeout or delivery!!! This is huge for me because I am broke and can’t be eating out like that LOL. Thank you saltpig! 🐷

### 5/5 — it’s awesome

*2026-06-24*

this helps me stay organized. it puts a place for me to put this category into one place. i’m cooking more now rather than just wanting to and then forgetting.

### 5/5 — an app I didn’t know I needed!

*2026-06-23*

I have a problem of saving recipes that I don’t ever execute! With saltpig, no longer a problem!! 🙌🐷✨

### 5/5 — The app i never knew i needed

*2026-06-23*

I’ve always been intimidated with cooking and this really helps to break it down. I also save a lot of recipes but then I never think about them again. This is also helping homes communicate with grocery lists, cook request and even planning events where people bring a dish. All around amazing.

### 5/5 — This app is great!

*2026-06-23*

I love this app because it recently helped me bake a lot more things I normally would struggle with; but this helps me retain a bunch of information as well as expanding on the different types of recipes I use.

### 5/5 — I’m cooking more

*2026-06-23*

I haven’t been motivated to cook much lately. I’m a bit of a lazy cook so I just want things that are simple and easy to make. This allows me to save easy recipes I find on the Internet and social media and save them and it encourages me to cook more often. I also like the fact that I can share meals I’ve made with friends on here, so it’s like a cooking social media as well.

Fixed app routing to use correct paths
Fixed timer bug
Added creator attribution to share card, removed double cook attribution

### 1.2.2 — 2026-08-08

Share your cooks to the web

Better share cards
The recipe's creator is now credited right under the dish name, with their real @handle. One Share button instead of two, and story cards no longer get clipped by Instagram's buttons.

Links that open the app
