## What is Salut Voisin?

Salut Voisin is the app that makes village life simpler and brings neighbors closer.

Built for Causses-et-Veyran, it replaces scattered WhatsApp groups, fridge notes, and incomplete word-of-mouth — all in one place.

— WHAT'S ON —
Apéros at the foyer, Sunday market, BBQs at the Duponts', flea market — see the village calendar at a glance. RSVP in two taps. Create your own events, public to the whole village or private to your circle.

— RIDES BETWEEN NEIGHBORS —
Trips to Béziers airport, runs to Intermarché, tastings at neighboring wineries: find a seat or offer one. Nobody drives alone to the airport when a neighbor is going the same day.

— TRUSTED LOCAL SERVICES —
The plumber your neighbor actually uses. Not an anonymous star rating — a recommendation from someone you know. Plumbing, electrical, gardening, cleaning: the village's collective memory, searchable.

— TWO LEVELS OF CONNECTION —
Neighbors (direct contact) and friends (full access to your availability and address). You decide, with every request, who sees what. Your neighborhood is public — your street is not.

— WHO'S AROUND THIS WEEK —
Overview of who's in the village: who's arriving, who's away, total headcount. Perfect for planning events, organizing spontaneous apéros, or simply knowing if Marie is back from Spain.

— VILLAGE NEWS —
Announcements, transport updates, local events: the village noticeboard, digital — no noise, no ads.

— PRIVACY-RESPECTING BY DESIGN —

### 1.0.3 — 2026-09-06

Winemakers, artisans, places to stay, shops and associations each have a listing: opening hours, how to reach them, what they offer. A listing written in French reads in English or Swedish, whichever you have chosen — and the other way round. Every organisation also gets a simple address to share, for a business card or the end of an email.

What's happening in the village

The calendar, announcements from the town hall and local associations, events running over several days, and weekly regulars. A notice can now carry an end date, so the board stays current instead of filling up — and nothing is lost, since past notices stay readable.

Finding the neighbours you know

You can now search for a resident by name and send them a connection request. Contact details are shared only when you both agree. To reach someone nearby without swapping numbers, you can write to them through the app: the message reaches them, your address stays private, and whether they reply is up to them.

For local organisations

The town hall, associations, winemakers and businesses run their own space: post, follow bookings, keep the listing current, and decide who on their team has access. Committees change — handing over no longer goes through us.

The interests you chose when you signed up finally appear on your card — visible to your friends only, not to the rest of the village.

• A fresh look — the Salut Voisin logo now appears on every screen; tap it to return home.
• Simpler connections — add someone directly as a neighbour or a friend (no extra steps), see pending requests right on your home page, and get an email when someone wants to connect.
• Classifieds coming soon — buy, sell, swap, small jobs, a helping hand and more, arriving under News.
• Reorganised navigation and lots of small improvements.
