## What is Salvamont?

Salvamont este aplicatia oficiala a Asociatiei Nationala a Salvatorilor Montani din Romania (A.N.S.M.R.), realizata in parteneriat cu Vodafone Romania.
De acum ai pe telefon cel mai complet ghid de informare si orientare montana din Romania: gasesti informatii actualizate despre 51 masivi montani, 600 trasee turistice, 150 cabane si 180 partii de schi din intreaga tara. 

Iti planifici din timp excursiile montane, afli cele mai importante avertismente si ai pe telefon cele mai noi detalii despre starea vremii, traseele montane, dotarile si locatiile cabanelor si partiilor.

Cel mai important, in sectiunea SOS ai un serviciu de localizare a pozitiei telefonului prin care notifici in timp real dispeceratul Salvamont despre traseul si coordonatele tale, altitudinea si nivelul bateriei telefonului. 

Serviciul este recomandat tuturor celor care calatoresc pe vreme dificila sau pe trasee necunoscute. Astfel, echipa Salvamont poate monitoriza numarul turistilor care se afla in zone de risc iar in cazul in care acestia apeleaza de urgenta dispeceratul, pozitia geografica poate fi foarte usor identificata, reducand extrem de mult timpul de localizare si salvare.
Doar la cererea ta, aplicatia va incerca localizarea pozitia telefonului folosind functia GPS sau triangulatia antenelor de telefonie mobila, trimitand apoi informatiile catre dispeceratul Salvamont.
Se poate pastra functia de localizare activa si pe durata parcurgerii unui traseu mai lung, pentru a informa echipa Salvamont pe intreaga perioada a excursiei.

In timpul sezonului de iarna serviciul ofera gratuit starea partiilor de schi, masurate zilnic de catre echipele Salvamont din tara:
- stratul de zapada si evolutia sa
- conditiile de schi
- imagini de pe partii, oferite de Jurnalul National
- hartile muntilor
- vremea si evolutia sa pe 3 zile, oferite de ANM
- lungime, diferenta de nivel, grad de dificultate, program de functionare, mijloace de transport pe partie, noctura si tunuri de zapada artificiala

You have just installed the most complete mountain guide for Romania: browse updated information about 51 mountains, 600 marked hiking trails, 150 chalets and 180 ski slopes around the country.

With it you can plan ahead your mountain journeys, receive the most important warnings and easily find weather forecasts, hiking trails, contacts, accomodations and location for chalets and ski slopes.

Most importantly, the SOS section offers you smartphone location tracking, helping you to instantly notify Salvamont Call Centre about your route, coordinates, altitude and even your remaining battery.

The service is recommended to all who travel on bad weather or venture into unknown areas. This way the Salvamont team can track all tourists traveling in risk areas and, in case anyone calls for support, identify location accuratelly increasing rescue chances.
At user's reques, the application will try to locate the smartphone position using GPS or mobile network antenna triangulation, sending the data to Salvamont Call Centre.
Location tracking can be activated for longer periods of time, like an entire hiking session, allowing Salvamont to monitor your position the entire duration.

During winter season, Salvamont offers ski slope conditions report, measured daily by Salvamont teams around the country:
- snow thickness and it's evolution
- skiing conditions
- ski slopes images, offered by Jurnalul National
- mountain maps
- live weather and 3-day forecasts, offered by ANM
- length, difference, difficulty, schedules, transportation, night skiing, snow cannons and other facilities

All Vodafone Romania local customers using mobile internet benefit of free data traffic inside the application.

A fost o aplicatie foarte utila. :(
Pacat ca nu mai e administrata. Daca tot nu mai e administrata trebuia retrasa de pe store.

Din pacate nu a mai fost actualizata din anul 2015 iar asta se vede daca e deschisa de pe un telefon mai nou, iar partea cea mai proasta este ca nu se mai deschide niciun detaliu.

De acum aplicatia beneficiaza de varianta in limba engleza, devenind astfel accesibila si turistilor din afara Romaniei. Aceasta se poate selecta din meniul telefonului, la Setari - Salvamont - Limba.

In plus, poti descarca hartile muntilor direct in memoria telefonului pentru a le putea accesa oricand fara a avea nevoie de acces la internet: este suficient sa alegi Vezi harta muntelui iar dupa ce aceasta este descarcata automat si afisata in aplicatie tii apasat lung pe harta si alegi optiunea Salveaza in Photos.
