## What is Salzburg Verkehr?

Welcome to the app of Salzburg Verkehr (“Salzburg traffic”), the mobile transport information from Salzburger Verkehrsverbund (Salzburg Transport Association). The Salzburg Verkehr-App ensures that you’ll always find your best route throughout Austria. Whether that’s with public transport, on foot, by bike or by car. The Salzburg Verkehr-App clearly presents you with all possible connections from your point of departure right through to your destination.



In the process,  the Salzburg Verkehr-App permanently accesses the latest traffic data and always offers you up-to-date information on the traffic situation. In this way, you know at all times which route and which mode of transport is most suited to your purpose. Thus, based upon Traffic Information Austria (VAO), all traffic activities are covered.

-Comparison of journey times: The Salzburg Verkehr-App journey planner enables you to directly compare the different connections and modes of transport.

-Area map: The area map shows you all stops in your area. Detailed information on the stops can be accessed directly via the map. 

-Departure monitor: In real time, the departure monitor shows you all lines departing from a given stop.

-Route/stop sequence: All interim stops, incl. departure times, are displayed between your starting point and destination.

-At a glance, the map’s mobility radar shows you accessibility via public transport in a radius of up to a maximum of 20 minutes from any given point.

-Favourites: Save your personal point of departure and routes as favourites

Now that Salzburg buses stop to sell tickets at some places this is the only way to get one. However, this app provides such a bad user experience that this actually leads to a worse service. It should be a lot easier and quicker to get both a 1 hour as well as 24 hour ticket. For both it takes multiple steps and require entering card details every time. It does not support Apple Pay or even selecting of my saved cards, this makes it a pain to complete a purchase

While it is possible to do most of the necessary tasks to plan and execute a trip using Salzburg‘s public transport system, the user interface is awful.  It is difficult to impossible to purchase multiple tickets for a family trip all at once.  The bus departure times are completely unreliable.

So awkward to use for multiple group. Almost virtually impossible. I became so frustrated that we toke an Uber.  It locked up so many times it was so frustrating. If you want to get frustrated and waste your time, this is the app for you. Take an Uber! Salzburg has taken a black eye!

It does the job. but it wont let me make an account, i dont have an Austrian address. It doesn’t have apple pay so i have to put my long card details every time. 

It also crashes lots.

 I don't like how you cant just buy an hour ticket and and manually validate or do it on the bus. Instead it gives you a slot of time from when the bus is meant to have arrived. This poses problem if the app crashes mid payment and when you go back on app the ‘slot’ is unavailable.

Diese App tut genau was man von ihr erwarten kann, und noch mehr. Kann mir irgendjemand sagen was diese unsinnigen Bewertungen mit einem * und in Englisch sollen? Frustrierte hacker aus Vorder-Asien, oder gelangweilte kids die nach einem Helikopter Service oder der U-Bahn in der Innenstadt suchen?

This app is really unreliable. Most of the time you can’t buy a ticket and some bus stops don’t have ticket machines, so it’s always better to carry some cash
