I'm using a new iPhone on high speed WiFi and the app constantly has issues loading events, the map is buggy, and I constantly get the "we're sorry an error occurred" if I want to load anything. Refreshing does nothing to fix it. This is 100% not a connection or hardware issue because YouTube, Netflix, Google Maps, etc. all work lightning fast while Samsara Fleet struggles to display pages. Additionally, the app does not keep you signed in, so I have to manually type my email and password every time I want to use it. The classic app for fleets is really good. It is missing some features I wish it had, the new version of the app has those features but it is so unstable. It is very slow, it regularly kicks you out, and it glitches many times as you use it. All of us at our company tried to use it and everyone experienced the same issues. We all were using the latest iPhones so it isn’t because of bad hardware. Two-Factor Authentication lacks severely as you can just go right back into the website bypassing MFA. When you do select the option for text message you’ll never get a code. Look, I shouldn’t have to MFA on my phone. When I need to access information ASAP and I have to sit there and wait for MFA to not send a code via text but go to my spam email and get it that way is time Consuming and time is of the essence when I have to pull video or respond to an accident. Even when the app works, it’s plagued with errors and reloads. You all have bloated your app too much and the backend can’t handle it. This app used to be so good. A while ago you made a change where the app could do pretty much everything you could do online, which at first I thought was really great. But ever since that happened the app runs very slow. It takes so much longer to load, it freezes regularly, kicks me out and makes me log in, and some of the features just don’t work in the app because it can’t run fast enough to do them. I’m using an iPhone 16 pro by the way. ### 1/5 — Love samsara, hate the app update *2025-12-22* The previous samsara fleet app had very simple bits of information but was really easy to navigate and give you access to basic info really quickly. The new update has one good thing, you can access everything but it does a poor job at all of it. Imagine trying to use the online version on your phone and it’s not mobile friendly. There are a lot of bugs to be worked out and it crashes regularly. Go back to the more simplified version please. Made from people that don’t actually use it other than modifying and “improving” features. Customer service lacks use of common sense; always request videos, screenshots, etc. when requesting improvements, system errors… The equipment is very expensive. It gives false reduce speed warnings, reduce following distance warnings, hard event detected warnings, false seat belts alerts, etc It has become the very thing we, as a company, are trying to avoid. For instance, I was installing the system on one of our trucks and I moved the box out of my way on the floor board and the alarm went off, stating harsh event detected. Multiple times we have given thumbs down, comments, and explanations as to why the system or “AI” was wrong. Nothing has changed or updated. As a safety manager with about 35 trucks, I would not recommend this product to any company. Complaints: 1. It’s AI needs to be trained by the company that purchases it and yet we don’t get reimbursed for time spend training their system. 2. Is a distraction with constant false alarms of speeding. 3. Creates an attitude of mistrust with employee and employer relationship due to the constant false alarms and alerts. 4. Creates an environment of road rage when our employees slow down beyond the posted speed limit to shut the system up thus aggravating other drivers. 5. System does NOT recognize posted speed limit signs, attached seat belts or drivers that are alert but rather gives false alerts to slow down, fasten seat belts, take a break, etc. 6. Customer service reps have very think foreign accents that are difficult to understand.
