## What is Samuel's 11+ Practice?

Samuel's 11+ Practice brings seven subjects together in one friendly app — short, encouraging sessions that build from first counting and phonics all the way to 11+ exam style.

• Maths: arithmetic, place value, fractions, measurement, geometry, ratio, algebra, statistics and problem solving — plus worksheet-style practice sessions.
• English: phonics, spelling, vocabulary, grammar and reading comprehension.
• Verbal and non-verbal reasoning: letter codes, sequences, analogies, shapes and patterns.
• Science, History and Geography quizzes to round out the day.
• "Today's picks" chooses a short daily mix of subjects, sized to your child's age.
• Grows with your child across five levels, from Reception to 11+ exam style.
• Read-aloud questions for pre-readers and big, child-friendly tap targets.
• Feedback is warm and supportive — never red marks.
• A grown-up area (behind a parental gate) sets the levels and daily plan and tracks progress.

Completely private and offline: no accounts, no ads, no data collected — ever.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.13.5 — 2026-08-28

The robotic voice is gone.
• Over 8,000 new recordings. At the two starter levels every question, hint, answer choice and explanation is now spoken by a warm British voice — so a child who cannot read yet can hear the whole exercise, not just the question
• Tap any answer to hear it read out before you choose
• Get it wrong and the hint is read to you; see the answer and the explanation is read too
• Wipe button on the iPad notes area, and the notes no longer cover the answers when you turn the iPad sideways
Everything is on the device. No account, nothing sent anywhere.

### 2.12.0 — 2026-08-23

### 2.11.0 — 2026-08-21

The robotic voice is gone.
• Over 8,000 new recordings. At the two starter levels every question, hint, answer choice and explanation is now spoken by a warm British voice — so a child who cannot read yet can hear the whole exercise, not just the question
• Tap any answer to hear it read out before you choose

### 2.10.0 — 2026-08-18

A real voice, and room to work things out.
• Over 750 new recordings — every starter-level question, every reading story your child can hear, and every teaching card is now read aloud by a warm British voice instead of the robotic one
• On iPad, a proper notes area sits under each question: write and draw with a finger or Apple Pencil, in three colours, with an eraser
• Coins and notes are drawn properly now — the right shapes, sizes, colours and edges, so your child learns what real money looks like
• Fixed: at starter level the story is always read before the question that asks about it
Everything is on the device. No account, nothing sent anywhere.

### 2.9.0 — 2026-08-13

Meet Sam, a helper your child can ask about the question on screen — in his own words.
• Sam runs entirely on your iPad. Nothing your child types is sent anywhere, and there is no account
• He will not give away the answer to a question your child is still working on — he points at the method, like a good hint
• After a missed question, Sam can explain why that particular answer was wrong, which a fixed explanation cannot do
• Off by default, and switched on only in the grown-up area. From Climber level up
• Every conversation is saved for you to read
Needs Apple Intelligence, so Sam appears only on iPads that support it.
