## What is Samuel's Korean Practice?

Samuel's Korean Practice introduces young children to Korean — from the Hangul alphabet to first words and everyday phrases — with playful, bite-sized activities.

• Learn Hangul letters and sounds, build vocabulary, read and listen, and pick up polite phrases and a little culture.
• Korean text is read aloud in a Korean voice; the instructions are spoken in clear English — so nothing sounds out of place.
• Encouraging, no-pressure feedback with stars and a friendly mascot.
• Grows across five levels, with an optional romanisation aid for early readers.
• A grown-up area (behind a parental gate) sets the level and daily amount.

Completely private and offline: no accounts, no ads, no data collected — ever.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.1 — 2026-08-13

Kinder, truer feedback:
• What your child is told about a letter he has just traced now matches what he actually drew, and a lifted finger is no longer marked as a mistake
• Second-try hints now fit the question they belong to
• Recordings and written words now say the same thing
• Explanations are allowed to finish before the screen moves on

### 1.1.0 — 2026-07-30

큰 업데이트! A big quality release:
• Hundreds of questions now have real recorded Korean narration by a native speaker — with more arriving every update
• Letter sounds are taught by ear: listen, then tap the Hangul — with big, clear letter cards
• Sentence building shows a picture and speaks the Korean sentence to build
• The letter-builder game can always be fixed after a wrong tap, and speaks each tile you touch
• Tracing is fair at every word length, letters are pronounced correctly, and the app tells you if a Korean voice needs downloading
• First-launch questions (age, and whether Korean is new) so practice starts gently

### 1.0.6 — 2026-07-17

• When an answer needs another go, the "try again" hint now stays on screen until your child taps it, so there's time to read it before trying again.
• Small fixes and polish.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-07-16

New handwriting practice mode, session score summaries, and lots of small improvements and polish.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-06-16

Small fixes and polish: the grown-up area is easier to unlock (just tap the answer — no keyboard), the games now fill the whole screen, and every game is playable at every age.
