So when I heard it was coming to mobile via Netflix, I thought “Well since I have a controller, this should be a suitable replacement.” No, it wasn’t. Not only is most of the roster locked behind a certain time, as far back as 2024, but the touch controls are terrible as you are missing an entire attack button (MS, and it’s an important tool if you want to do combos) and the touch controls are poorly optimized, the special button rarely giving you the correct special move. What’s worse is that you can’t even use a controller to bypass the terrible touch controls. This is an unacceptable decision, and ruins what has already become a terrible port ### 1/5 — What are even the controls *2023-09-01* I been playing the game for a few hours and I don’t even know if the block work or how to even block although I went through the tutorial and it showed some of the controls not all ### 2/5 — Could be Great *2023-10-08* The game looks great. They captured all the visual elements that always made Samurai Showdown a great game. The controls are some the worst I have ever seen. You can’t change them you can’t adjust the position. In a match it feels like the reaction of the controls is about a half a second behind whatever it is you are doing.
