This is the first app on iOS that has completely not worked in lockdown mode. The app doesn’t even load. Just for some added background, no other apps by the developer work in lockdown. Apps from indie devs, apps created 4+ years ago, mail apps, games, video apps, music apps, medical apps, plant, health, running, fitness, schedulers, etc all work in lockdown with some minor inconveniences due to the inherent restrictions. I could also view the altitude and figure out if he was going up or downhill, or on the flat. It sometimes lagged a little behind, then suddenly I would get an update on the app that showed that he had actually reached a place maybe half a mile beyond where he was shown a moment before. The app enable me to feel like I was there like a spectator in a bike. ### 4/5 — My opinion *2022-07-24* I’d rather not default to the 3d map. Also it should default to north justification rather than racer direction. No one wants a sideways map. It was not intuitive for spectators to locate the runner participating. They could not easily track me in the app. I think they were confused between the SF virtual Marathon and in person Marathon event. It was kinda unexpected and I didn’t know this app existed until that moment. Lol. Beautiful! ### 5/5 — Soooo helpful *2026-07-26* This was honestly such a good help for supporting a runner! My sister has run 5 marathons and this is the first time we’ve not had to guess where to meet her. The ‘navigate here’ function, our location, and estimated arrival times at different spots are genius! Only issue is the tracker on her glitched sometimes and showed her ahead of where she was. But we used the app as a great guide to ride along side the race to cheer at multiple stops.
