I’m forced to read it on my phone which is not ideal.. ### 3/5 — Serious Formatting Problems *2026-05-11* Content is adequate, even if it reprints MAGA right wing op-ed pieces without context. Support does not return requests for help. ### 3/5 — New Tribune app. *2026-03-04* Here we go 'round in circles! Try. To open tribune, tribune tells me to update and sends me to App Store, App Store sends me to page that tells me to update app. Rinse and repeat. **Developer response:** Dear valued subscriber, I'm sorry for the issue you are experiencing. The lastes version of the app requires iOS 17.1+, so older iPads that can't upgrade won't be able to run it. To make sure you can still access the app without interruption, we can provide a tablet device that's compatible and will work wih the Tribune app right away. Still, as bad as it is, it is not as bad as it's reporting. ### 1/5 — Login screen endlessly reloads *2024-12-12* Despite being a paying subscriber ($35/month), I am unable to access content because I am taken back to the login screen each time I try to sign in with verified credentials. Once I fell for the trap of “renewing access” and wound up with two paid subscriptions. Luckily I got wise to that and killed the duplicate subscription so I am no longer being charged $70 a month for news I can’t read. I am all for supporting local journalism, but maybe it’s time to go back to a hard copy newspaper because this app is simply unusable and, despite poor reviews going back a few years now, the company seems uninterested in fixing the app or retaining subscribers. Is this how local journalism dies in the 21st century? ### 1/5 — App does not let you sign in. *2024-06-13, version 10.0.3* The update to the app now does not allow the sign in page to work.
