Some photos, notes and papers need their own locked place. Sanctum is that place: a vault with its own PIN and Face ID, real folders, and encryption in your own iCloud, with the feel of the apps you already use. FEELS LIKE PHOTOS, LOCKED LIKE A VAULT • Folders you can organize: create, rename, move between • Favorites, videos, Live Photos, captions, search • The viewer your hands already know: swipe, pinch, filmstrip, pull down to close • Recently Deleted with 30-day recovery A CAMERA THAT SHOOTS INTO THE VAULT Pick the folder, then shoot. Photos and videos go straight into it, encrypted, and never through your camera roll. Timer, grid, zoom, flash, video quality, and the volume button as a shutter. NOTES, LOCKED THE SAME WAY Door codes, account numbers, the things you type once and need again. Encrypted like your photos, pinned, sorted, searchable, and synced to every device. DOCUMENTS AND SCANS Scan papers into a PDF with the camera. Bring in files from Files or the share sheet. Read PDFs in place. IDs, receipts, contracts: filed next to the photos they belong with. A PRIVATE BROWSER Browse without leaving a trace: no history, no cookies kept after you lock up. When you find a picture or a file you want to keep, a long press saves it straight into a folder in your vault, never into your camera roll or Downloads. SECURITY BEYOND A HIDDEN FOLDER • Your own 6-digit vault PIN, separate from your device passcode • Face ID unlock, if you choose • Every photo, video, note and document encrypted with AES-256 before it touches disk • Auto-locks the moment you leave the app YOUR THINGS NEVER TOUCH OUR SERVERS Everything lives in your own iCloud, handled end to end by Apple. We operate no servers, run no analytics, and collect no data. We could not look at your vault if we wanted to, and that is the point. SAVE IT STRAIGHT TO THE VAULT Tap Share in Mail, Messages, Safari or Files and choose Sanctum. It is encrypted on your device the moment you share it. PRIVATE IMPORT, DONE RIGHT Move photos in through Apple's own picker, then let Sanctum offer to delete the originals from your photo library, with Apple's confirmation protecting every step. EVERYWHERE YOU ARE iPhone, iPad and Mac. One vault, synced through your iCloud, unlocked by the same PIN. FREE, AND ACTUALLY USABLE The free version is not a trial. Full security, the camera, the scanner and the browser, with 30 photos, 2 videos, 3 folders, 3 notes and 10 documents, for as long as you like. Premium removes the limits and adds search, editing, and saving from the browser. Whatever is already in your vault stays yours either way. Keep Photos convenient. Keep private things in Sanctum. Pick the folder first, then shoot: timer, grid, zoom, flash, video quality, and the volume button as a shutter. Nothing lands in your camera roll. Notes, encrypted like your photos. Pin the ones that matter, sort, search and share. Documents. Scan papers into a PDF with the camera, bring files in from Files, and read PDFs right in the vault. A private browser. Nothing it visits is remembered once you lock up, and a long press saves a picture or a file straight into a folder. Sync at a glance. See when each device last synced, and repair anything that lagged behind. Videos get a scrubber, and the viewer stays put when you turn your iPhone sideways. ### 1.1 — 2026-10-01 Two new rooms in your vault. • Camera. Take photos and videos straight into any folder. Nothing you shoot here ever touches your camera roll, so there is no original to delete afterwards. Included in Free. • Notes. Passport numbers, door codes, the things you'd rather not keep in Notes. Encrypted with the same key as your photos and synced through your own iCloud. Three notes in Free, unlimited with Premium. On iPhone the vault now has three tabs: Photos, Camera and Notes. On iPad and Mac they sit in the sidebar under "Also in your vault". Also in this update: Live Photos and edited photos now sync between devices reliably. ### 1.0.4 — 2026-09-22 A new look for dark mode. Sanctum now wears the deep navy shared by all Axiom Digital apps when your device is in dark mode. Light mode is unchanged. Also fixed: the sync status at the bottom of your vault no longer says "Waiting for iCloud" after a quiet launch. It shows when your vault last synced instead. ### 1.0.3 — 2026-09-20 Share into Sanctum from any app. Tap Share in Mail, Messages, Safari, Files or Photos and choose Sanctum. The photo or video is encrypted on your device the moment you share it, and appears in Unsorted the next time you unlock your vault. Saving from an email or a message sends it straight into your vault. It never has to land in your photo library first. Sharing from Photos saves a copy. To move photos out of your library in one step, use Import inside Sanctum, which offers to delete the originals. Also in this update: a plan badge shows whether you're on Free or Premium, purchases report clearly if anything goes wrong, and photo imports are saved to your vault immediately. ### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-08 Deleting a folder no longer deletes the photos inside it. Previously, removing a folder also removed everything in it, permanently. Now the photos move to Unsorted and the folder asks first, telling you how many items it will move. Nothing is deleted. If you have deleted a folder in an earlier version, please check Recently Deleted — and accept our apology. Your photos should never have been at risk from tidying up. ## Apps similar to Sanctum Vault | App | Rating | Price | Category | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | [OnlyUs](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/onlyus/id6764257497) | — | Free | Photo & Video | | [Voptera: Voice Teleprompter](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/voptera-voice-teleprompter/id6807671033) | — | Free | Photo & Video | | [Vaultic — Hide Photos & Video](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/vaultic-hide-photos-and-video/id6793312162) | — | Free | Photo & Video | | [Locket: Photo Vault for Two](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/locket-photo-vault-for-two/id6758130708) | — | Free | Photo & Video | | [Foxi: Couple Photo Sharing](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/foxi-couple-photo-sharing/id6763524595) | 5.0 (1) | Free | Photo & Video | | [OutVault: Private Camera](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/outvault-private-camera/id6774853053) | — | Free | Photo & Video | ## More apps by Anatoliy Khaimov - [Sanctum Cleanup](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/sanctum-cleanup/id6813610657) - [Sanctum Montage](https://appshunter.io/ios/app/sanctum-montage/id6814853285) All apps by Anatoliy Khaimov: https://appshunter.io/developer/6805116652 --- *Data collected daily from the US App Store and indexed by [AppsHunter](https://appshunter.io/).
