Once the new version has been released, the roasting doesn’t start: it shows an hour glass in the app and nothing happens

プロファイルも微妙なのが多いので、お金を出してこれかぁ.......っていう感想。

App keeps crashing on iPad Air , it says it should work fine with my present software and I’m upto date.

個々の商品にバラ付きがあるからなのか、アプリの中身を更新するたびに変えすぎ。同じ焙煎できないじゃないか!
追記またアップデートがあり変わった…
深煎りの焙煎が出来ないって言っている人は第一クラックと第二クラックの秒数を手動設定し直してないんじゃないかな？いずれも初期設定は秒数少なめなので、プリセットの深煎りでも初期設定じゃ思い通りの焙煎はできないですよ！

Lots of problems. Here we go. (1) Only way to use their roaster is to use the app. The stock roast profiles are meh. They make you pay for their more advanced profiles (robbery). As you learn their roaster and try to understand their more advanced paid for profiles, they purposefully do not let you see their power/fan/drum speed settings, making it harder to learn and love their machine. Makes me want to throw it out and buy a more open roaster. It’s as if they feel like they need to pay for their software developers through subscription fees when they should sell more overall devices and become a bigger share of the home roasting market. Their strategy limits adoption given bad reviews of their customers (2) The app design is poor. Some screens force landscape while others do not allow landscape. Their users want landscape on all forms, but they haven’t resolved in the years the app has been out. Editing profiles are way too hard. Trial and error is how roasters work. It should be incredibly easy to just move control points around on a touch device (it’s not). Figuring out how to get to the screens to modify the past roast profile and edit is convoluted.  Honestly, the app needs a tear down and redo it’s so poor.

細かい不具合やUXに問題があるのは他の方の指摘の通りとして、Stopボタンに警告などがなくいきなり終了するので、誤タップしたらリカバリーのしようがないのに腹が立ちます。

こちらの焙煎機は愛用していますが、以下の不具合がありバージョンを更新しても修正されていません。 

 ・焙煎(予熱)開始すると「ファームウェアの更新」というメッセージが毎回現れ、「取消」と「はい」のどちらを押しても機械の電源が落ち一時的に使えなくなる。焙煎を途中で終了させるとメッセージは消えるので、一度豆を入れずに空で焙煎を回して対処している。

・アプリを開くと「新しいバージョンがあります。AppStoreで更新してください」という旨のメッセージが現れ、AppStoreへのリンク以外押せなくなる。だがAppStoreに移動しても更新ボタンが無く、アプリを開くことしかできない。アプリに移動してもAppStoreへのリンクしか押せない状態が続くだけなので、焙煎ができない状態でいる。ただの置物になってしまうので一刻も早く改善してほしい。

So I got a phone call while roasting and guess what happened it disconnected from the Sandbox R1 unit and stopped mid roast.  If you have a old iphone or ipad to use as a stand alone device that wont get any interference then use it.  I had to finish my roast in a pan, still better than your ordinary off the shelf coffee but just okay.

Sometimes this app logs out in the middle. Which can be very frustrating when you have everything planned. And with very expensive beans it can ruin a whole batch

I’m really enjoying using it.
As a dedicated Sandbox Roaster user, I’d like to share a few suggestions.

1.  Shorten feedback latency for ROR, temperature data, etc.
The current data refresh interval feels a bit long. Near-real-time updates would make precise control during roasting much easier.

2.  Release a dedicated PC software version
Adding a PC desktop app alongside the mobile version would greatly enhance the roasting experience with larger screens and more accurate input devices.

3.  Freemium model restructuring suggestion
Keep advanced profile features paid, but:
	•  Remove limits on profile comparison and storage
	•  Fully enable profile sharing
Opening core features for free in this way would boost collaboration and network effects, significantly growing the overall user base.

PLEASE PLEASE allow this app to work in landscape mode.

I use tablet in my kitchen for any smart devices and recipes. It’s mounted on a wall. I can’t use the app unless I remove the tablet and rotate it….

When I compare two graphs from my history,  green bean’s amount is on 200g. 
However, in the graph details, that info is back to normal.

The 1st pop-up preparation Push notification didn't come.

**Developer response:** Hi, thank you for your feedback. The 1st crack notification only occur when it reach certain conditions:  190 °C  and roasting time > 2 minutes.

・1ハゼボタンを押した後にも手動操作が可能なようにしてほしい
・1ハゼボタンを押すと内部照明が点滅して豆がほとんど見えなくなる。点滅させるかをユーザーに選ばせて欲しい
・焙煎履歴に火力、ファン出力等のデータも表示して欲しい
・手動焙煎の火力等の履歴が記憶されるようになって欲しい
・焙煎履歴をcsvやxls形式などで出力可能にして欲しい
・焙煎記録の産地の選択肢があまりにも少ない。南米がブラジル、コロンビア、その他、だけというのはあまりに寂しい

焙煎履歴から写真のアップロードはできる仕様となっているが、ライブラリからの写真追加ができないので、ライブラリから追加できるとより便利と思う。
