### 2/5 — Change up after buying

*2026-08-21, version 20.48.1*

I don’t like nor appreciate the fact that when I bought the package, it was stated that my letters would come with a letter, a picture and a pre-addressed envelope for my recruit to write back and all the sudden that pre-addressed envelope to write back is no longer included with it. Had I known that, I’d not have wasted my money. I shouldn’t have to pay extra for it when it was included in the package when I bought it.

### 5/5 — Makes the time go faster

*2026-08-19, version 20.48.1*

Sandboxx is a Godsend because it’s everything that you’ll need to keep your Airman to be motivated and feel thought about. I remember being in basic training and looking forward to hearing from my family and friends. Sandboxx has taken the guesswork and traveling to the post office for us out of the equation. This is the best idea ever.

### 4/5 — Memory book

*2026-08-19, version 20.48.1*

I would like to know if someone get the memory book and how to do if can help me I tried many time through the app I couldn’t do it

### 5/5 — Sandboxx app review

*2026-08-19, version 20.48.1*

Love sandbox my husband got my letters very quickly and I was more at ease being that I can’t track them and knowing that he received them very thankful for this app. Including asking questions to other families and the connections you can make. Very informational

### 2/5 — Letters never received!!

*2026-08-18, version 20.48.1*

I’ve never been more disappointed in a service in my life!! My grandson is in week 5 of boot camp and hasn’t received any letters from family, except for 1 letter from my daughter. He’s very discouraged that the other recruits get mail, and he never does!! We’ve ONLY used Sandboxx, so this says a lot! They resent my first letter for me after complaining, but geez! This doesn’t make sense! Only gave 2 stars due to the friendliness of customer service.

### 5/5 — Peace of mind

*2026-08-18, version 20.48.1*

The sandbox app has been a blessing in giving me some idea of what my son is going through in boot camp. The only reference I have is from the movies. lol also being able to send him pictures and letters and money easily helps me to feel like I’m with him and gives me peace of mind.

### 2/5 — Great Idea, Poor Execution

*2026-08-18, version 20.48.1*

Signed up for this app because we were told (and it advertises overnight delivery). We live 4 hrs away from base and USPS will arrive sooner than these letters. Letters go from Arlington, to Nashville, to outside base then base, and I have letters that have been out for delivery going on 5 days! Make it personal, send the snail mail. This app might work well for families more than a state or two away, but if you’re local, send the hand written letter.

### 5/5 — Sandboxx is great!

*2026-08-17, version 20.48.1*

I just wanted to hop on here and give a shoutout to Sandboxx!

I sent my husband a letter and a picture of our kids on Saturday, and I got a notification Tuesday morning that it was delivered! While it’s not quite the same as sending a handwritten letter, it’s a fast, convenient, and cost-effective way to stay connected with your recruit.

Paul specifically has been so helpful! He’s been able to answer ALL of my questions no matter how ridiculous they may have been LOL!

I highly recommend using the Sandboxx app if you’re looking for a quicker way to get letters and photos to your loved one during training. 😊

### 5/5 — LOVE THIS APP

*2026-08-17, version 20.48.1*

I love this app and all the cool features it comes with. Super helpful for spouses trying to get in touch with their loved ones in bootcamp☺️

### 5/5 — Wonderful

*2026-08-16, version 20.48.1*

Wish it didn’t cost so much but it is so amazing and worth it

### 5/5 — Great Tool Right Here

*2026-08-15, version 20.48.1*

One of a kind creation that has served my family for years! Semper Fi

### 5/5 — It’s more important than you might think.

*2026-08-15, version 20.48.1*

I was skeptical at first that my son would want to get frequent letters from his parents during basic. Even during his first real phone call he said it was, but I thought he was just saying that because that’s what he’s supposed to say. After basic was done he confirmed how important it was to hear from us regularly. Now that’s he’s off to another location he is still keeping all of the letters he received.
The best part is easily tracking the letters from start to finish. The letters people sent by regular mail took weeks to get there as opposed to days with this.
I never write reviews either.

### 3/5 — wonderful resource

*2026-08-14, version 20.48.1*

Sandboxx was such a wonderful resource for me while my son was at Army Basic Training. My son joined the Army at just 19 years old, and as his mom, those weeks were incredibly difficult. I missed him terribly and worried about how he was doing.

Sandboxx helped me stay informed about what phase of training he was in and what he was likely working on each week. That made such a difference when he called on Sundays, especially when we sometimes only had 15 minutes to talk. I already had an idea of what he had been doing, so we could spend that precious time talking about his accomplishments. He was excited to tell me everything he had done, and I could hear his confidence growing. It helped me realize that my son wasn’t just surviving Basic Training, he was flourishing.

The letters are absolutely worth paying for. They were easy to send, and being able to include photos made them even more special. My son truly enjoyed receiving the letters and pictures from home.

I was also able to share his Sandboxx link with family members, making it easy for them to send him letters too. Instead of all the communication falling on one person, our family could stay involved and encourage him throughout training. Having letters coming from different people back home meant a lot to him.

Another unexpected benefit was being able to use my letters to paraphrase and confirm our phone conversations from the previous week. When my son called, he was often standing near many other soldiers who were also making their calls home, so it could be noisy and difficult to hear every detail.

In my next letter, I could write back what I understood him to have told me, especially important information about items he needed me to send, Family Day, graduation, dates, and plans. He could then confirm or correct anything. That meant we didn’t have to spend the next precious phone call repeating logistical information.

Sandboxx became much more than a letter-writing app for our family. The letters gave my son a piece of home, the photos kept him connected to us, the training information helped me understand what he was experiencing, and sharing the link allowed our whole family to support him.

For a parent watching their 19-year-old take such a huge step into adulthood and military life, that connection is priceless. I would absolutely recommend Sandboxx to other military families. 🇺🇸❤️

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Make sure you check address

*2026-08-23, version 20.48.1*

One of the letters my daughter wrote was returned and updated the address in time for her friend to switch bases and be returned again. I sent a gift card and her friend never got the card, very frustrating when this is is supposed to be an easier system.

### 1/5 — Hard to manage the squad.

*2026-08-21, version 20.48.1*

My husband has the squad set up. But I have to purchase my own letters and can use the squad. I tried signing in as him but the app default ed to me.

### 1/5 — Scam

*2026-08-18, version 20.48.1*

Takes your money. Doesn’t deliver letter or gift card. RTS. Then says non refundable. Not recommended

### 1/5 — Registration failed

*2026-08-12, version 20.48.1*

We are trying to complete the registration on the app using my number in Nigeria to get a confirmation code; but can’t get past this stage because I got an error message.

### 1/5 — Unreliable and liars!

*2026-08-11, version 20.48.1*

They do not send your letter at the day or time that they say they do! I’ve spent so much money and my soldier hasn’t received the letters that’s I’ve sent. This app is profiting on vulnerable people in times of needs.

### 1/5 — An overwhelmed/ worried Mother

*2026-08-10, version 20.48.1*

So far my experience with Sandbox has not been that good. My son has been in boot camp going into the second month and we have sent a total of about 20 letters since the second week he has been there. He hasn’t received any letters as of yet. The part that was most stressful was when I was corresponding with Sandbox (Agent) I felt more scrutinized when trying to get help. I felt like I wasn’t being completely heard but rushed and told I was wrong. How was that going to help make me feel comfort knowing my son needs all of the encouragement possible but instead is feeling abandoned and forgotten because he has not received one letter from his family. Where is my support and excellent customer communication and service…

### 1/5 — Ripoff

*2026-08-10, version 20.48.1*

What a rip off your taking advantage of the family of the these people who are putting their life on the line . You also stole more than half of my paid letters you should ban this app

### 1/5 — Not good

*2026-08-04, version 20.48.1*

App is always glitching, people join your squad and the letters don’t go through the address doesn’t update for the squad. Every person on the squad has had issues and when I tried to change the address when she left to training it did not update. Her letters were lost and she never received them. App does not have good customer service and they are just making money, not helpful.

### 1/5 — A joke

*2026-08-04, version 20.48.1*

Pay $4 a letter for next day delivery that does not happen. Got a letter from our recruit today, asking us to please write him because he has not received any letters even though multiple have been sent. Very disappointed will just mail my own letters from now on. Do not recommend

### 1/5 — Letter not received

*2026-08-03, version 20.48.1*

I had to purchase a minimum of three letters even though I only wanted to send one. On top of that, the letter I sent was not received by the person I sent it to. It’s better to just write it and send it traditionally. Waste of $13.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Get it!

*2026-08-25, version 20.49.0*

This app is amazing! I’m so grateful to be able to use this to stay connected to my sailor. Letters get sent next day if you send between Monday-Thursday. You do have to pay but it’s worth it!!! You also get weekly updates so you know what your service member is going to be doing this week!

### 5/5 — Amazing app and service.

*2026-08-25, version 20.49.0*

This app and service are top notch. Knowing my letters are getting to the base helps. The costumer service is amazing.

### 5/5 — Sandboxx!

*2026-08-24, version 20.49.0*

LOVE THIS APP! Not only does it do a phenomenal job of keeping us connected to our military recruits, but! It excels at providing us with information and resources throughout their journey!

### 5/5 — Thankful for Sandboxx

*2026-08-23, version 20.48.1*

This makes writing to my SIT so easy and quick! No worries about my letters not getting to him. You have to pay for this but it is so worth it!!!!

### 5/5 — Thank you so much

*2026-08-23, version 20.48.1*

Modern technology can really feel like the only way to communicate sometimes. Thanks to sandboxx I could connect with someone I truly appreciate and care for.

### 5/5 — Easy, Fast & Reliable

*2026-08-23, version 20.48.1*

I love how quick, convenient and reliable Sandboxx is. I had an issue(which was my fault tbh) with my letters after I changed the address, but after reaching out for help, a real support agent was quick to respond, fix the issue, and get my letters sent out. I really appreciated how helpful and responsive they were!

### 5/5 — Love the app

*2026-08-21, version 20.48.1*

I love this app it help me keep in touch with my sin while he was at bootcamp, very happy cuz we were able to send him letters and they gave him an envelope to write us back.

### 5/5 — Sandboxx is great

*2026-08-21, version 20.48.1*

The sandboxx app has been the best thing for any military parent to communicate with your loved ones without the worry if they got your letter or if it got lost in snail mail.

### 5/5 — A MUST!!

*2026-08-21, version 20.48.1*

There’s no way I would have made it through our son’s time at BMT without Sandboxx!!! Obviously, having such a simple and efficient way to communicate with him as often as I wanted to is the best feature. But this app provides wraparound support, too!! Being able to learn what each week is bringing, what to plan for at his graduation, and having the ability to connect with others and learn from them is invaluable!! Just amazing. What a blessing!!

### 5/5 — 💜

*2026-08-20, version 20.48.1*

Love this app to keep in touch with my son
