It takes about 15 seconds each time to result anything while using the search bar. Recent updates have made finding needed information burdensome and not practical in an extremely busy clinical setting. Despite paying the yearly fee, the program will not update. I cannot login with email and password. Even trying to reset password gives me an invalid email message. Company denies the issue and blames it on Apple and the user. Rather then help, they just suggested cancelling my subscription if I am not happy (after keeping the payment). This is very disappointing from a company that used to be highly regarded in the medical field, and one that I used as a physician for years. Addendum: deleting the app and redownloading allows updating content, but any updates require this to be done, unlike every other Apple app. There is also a bug in the app that you cannot create an account despite a button to create account. It also will not link to an account you set up via the internet either. The company's response is that it must be my fault. **Developer response:** UPDATE: Has the issue been resolved? Creating an account is only necessary for cloud backup and syncing with other devices via the Sanford Guide Cloud. Unfortunately, Apple will not allow us to access your account without action on your part, so we cannot associate your Apple subscription with a Sanford Guide Cloud account - only you can do that. Since you do not yet have a Sanford Guide Cloud account, we have created one for you, and will email you credentials to use. You can always go to the app’s Account screen to ensure that you have our latest content update. Content is updated daily, and updates will download to your device whenever you are connected to the internet and using the app. ### 1/5 — Annoying/long subscription check on opening *2020-05-23, version 4.1.1* Everytime the app is launched, it automatically verifies the validity of the subscription. Sometimes it keeps spinning for minutes before you access the content wich is not usefull in hospital setting. I would recommend to buy the book. Probably faster and you don’t have to pay again every year. ### 1/5 — too short of a trial and (warning) automatic charge after 7 day trial *2019-10-01* very short trial period and then it automatically charges your card after it's up, instead of deactivating. deceptive in my opinion the short trial makes it difficult to actually get an idea to truly see if it's worth getting this version vs the paper form. world also like to see non-subscription yearly option. things don't change that much year to year. ---reply to publisher response--- thank you for your response and offer but I'm no longer in need of the app as I am using a paper option and will not be in the market for another year. I will also respectfully diaagree with the multilple emails from apple comment in regards to the automatic charge. I did but receive anything except for the invoice after my card was charged. That said, even if i did receive the emails I still strongly feel that a FREE trial should not charge you automatically; especially after 7 days. When you use the opt out model you are acting more like a predatory app and I know that's not your intention, so suggest you use the same function you use at the end of a year to disable the app after 7 days. Also, might I suggest if you insist on keeping the trial at 7 days that have a monthly subscription offer would be helpful to clinicians who aren't quite ready to pay for a year. For a lot of us were deciding on paper vs app 7 days will be insufficient. Also, while I appreciate you might make hundreds of changes a month, as an ID specialist, I can assure you that as a general rule, 99% of the important areas of the Sanford guide are generally not clinically significantly changing month to month and that the year to year updates are more critical. So while I appreciate real-time updates, I feel ease of use compared to paper is the real question for users like me. **Developer response:** We're sorry to hear that you didn't find the free trial valuable. While the subscription does renew automatically per Apple's policies, there were numerous alerts, e-mails, and dialogues informing the user of this. If you would like a longer trial, you may contact our customer service team, and we'll be happy to help you out.
