absolutely the WORST thing I have purchased from iTunes! Now that I have it, what in the heck do I do with it? It's nothings but a bunch of verbage. Absolutely NOTHING that teaches you Sanskrit.

DON'T BUY IT!

The audio doesn't work, so i've no idea how to pronounce any of the alphabet/words, which makes the app somewhat useless.... ) :
The app has a lot of information, and it seems like it might be pretty helpful if it had audio.

A single chapter on the alphabet, with neither attention paid separately to each letter nor practice with recognition and pronounciation, is insufficient.  Also, the audio quality is very poor. 

Once I've learned to read, write and pronounce devanagari elsewhere, I expect the remaining chapters of this e-book will be helpful. For now I'm going back to the Sanskrit Lessons apps by Aimkara.

* Other languages, such as Nepali, also use the devanagari script.

I was looking for an app that would help me with my sanskrit studies, but this one is NOT a help. The audible for this app really does sound like a 3 year old and you can't hear much difference between one vowel to the next. Granted the differences are subtle, but not so subtle that you shouldn't be able to hear it. Aside from that, the vowels aren't even being pronounced correctly. Don't waste your money on this app until the creators actually get a proper linguist to recite the Sanskrit vowels and consonants the way they should sound.

This app gives you not only the tools to understand the essentials, but also to memorize the key tables (and there is a lot of those in Sanskrit :)... Thanks to the author for making this available to all of us!
