### 4/5 — great way to start feeling better

*2021-06-07, version 8.29.0*

I love that Sanvello was available through my work’s healthcare, because otherwise I would not have tried it, so that’s definitely a plus that they make it easy to integrate with your insurance.

As far as assessments, I like them. They’re diverse enough to get me started without being overwhelming. As a dftba fan, I couldn’t help but love that they used John Green for one of the anxiety educational videos. Every other person or voice they use is soothing and not “over doing it.” I’m interested by the community feature, but I don’t use it as much as the activities.

As far as UX, just a couple things: some buttons are not compatible with iPhone features, for example, the adjust volume slider is too close to the bottom of the screen, and so my phone thinks I want to swipe away from the app or close it. Also, sometimes the check ins don’t register and I have to start over or cancel them

**Developer response:** Thanks for your review and feedback, we're happy to hear setup was easy and that you're enjoying the Guided Journeys so far!!😊 I will be sure to share your UX recommendations with our product team for them to consider in future updates as well. Please email us at info@sanvello.com if you have any questions or additional feedback, we'd be happy to help!

### 4/5 — Amazing app, just a quick caveat.

*2020-09-03, version 8.12.1*

I would recommend this app to anyone. It is truly a wholesome experience. I am very surprised that some health insurance coverage applies, thats amazing!

I have a personal caveat. While I appreciate what “Sanvello” does for the community, I would like to suggest that you do not speak of Sanvello as third-person during meditations or use the name during audios or text. Maybe just stick to “we are here for you” instead of “you can always come back to Sanvello”. While meditating, you are probably in a very sensitive and exposed time in your life, when I hear “You can always come back to Sanvello” I feel like I am being advertised to DURING that exposed time and it can be quite sour. So far I have been able to let it go, I am hoping it doesn't continue because the decision to move to an annual sub depends on it. I am already paying the monthly fee, please leave it without names, it feels
More honest and beautifully personal when you just stick to “we are here for you” since I know who “we” is.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback. When users share insightful comments, it helps us grow and improve. I will make sure our team hears about this.

### 4/5 — overall a good app

*2020-07-02, version 8.8.1*

This app is nice to have to keep track of your daily thoughts and feelings and track your progress and the meditations are nice but some of the wording used throughout the app makes me a little uncomfortable. When I tried to put in my name for the community posts or whatever it said “this name is not unique” and I assume that’s because it was already taken but it’s a really weird way to say it and for me at least it kind of turns it into a negative thought which is stupid but that was just my initial response and I think it could have been prevented with better wording. I also took the assessment for the first time and one of the questions asked if I still feel good about myself even when others look down on my illness which to me is kinda weird. I don’t think anyone feels good about themselves when someone looks down on them for something they can’t really control and especially not someone with anxiety/depression/self-image issues so that’s never really gonna be an “i feel great” moment but whatever. Another question referred to mental illness as “behavioral health issues” which seems inaccurate and kind of negative for someone who’s trying to better their mental health. Overall it’s a good app but some things are just a little weird and I think it could be improved by being a little more sensitive especially since it’s advertised as a tool to help people deal with and improve their mental illness.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your thoughtful, detailed review. The prompts for a unique name in the community are to encourage anonymity, so names that are abstract and contain numbers work well–something like your user name here on the review.:) As for the assessments, these are clinical assessments that we've put in the app to allow users to measure their progress. We haven't modified the language of these assessments, and understand where you're coming from with sensitivity to some of the terms used. That's great feedback we'll take back to the team. Thanks again.

### 5/5 — Engaging

*2019-09-22, version 8.2.2*

I’ve been using Sanvello for over a year now and I’m very happy with all the options they provide. Recording journals is beneficial to me in general but I like that you can track your moods based off of different factors like exercise etc. I use the app very casually but even using the ‘community’ part of it is a small way to boost my mood or just feel less alone. Not many complaints here other than maybe having the occasional technical difficulty but I’ve seen those get fixed over time. And I wish I could see my “moods” over a longer period of time than just a week without having to scroll through week by week. But overall I really just enjoy having a safe (and very aesthetically pleasing) space to store my thoughts. Thanks to the developers!! :)

### 5/5 — A pleasant surprise

*2019-09-02, version 8.1.0*

I’ve gone through app after app to help me organize my thoughts and feelings. Medication isn’t working for me right now and at the moment I can’t afford to see a therapist so turning my life around is something I have to do on my own. I rarely rate apps and almost never consider premium for them but even the free version of this app has been really helpful. It feels like it was designed by people who actually want to help people not just rake in cash. It’s no replacement for professional care but it’s a very useful tool for people who want to help themselves get better. If I was in a position to afford premium I definitely would, I’d love to continue on the guided journeys. You should give this app a try if you’re feeling stuck in life.

### 5/5 — Totally recommend!!

*2019-08-28, version 8.1.0*

I’m not one to place much faith in apps like this but this one is awesome. I’ve been using it since maybe January and the weight I have felt fall off is amazing. I use the journal things the hope board it seems like I always have a quote I needed to hear when I need it. It motivated me to start working out a bit and continue with it. The meditations it has truly helped. I had been stressing a ridiculous amount and this app helped to let me take a moment and see that everything will work out. I struggle with depression and anxiety and can definitely say I’ve seen an improvement since using the app. Also I haven’t even been using the premium but I’m actually going to purchase it but waiting for the following year so I can have that when I move next year. Seriously try it.

### 5/5 — Helped Me After My Mom Died

*2019-07-23, version 8.0.3*

This app helped me a great deal after my mom died, a year of intense stress. Checking in daily and expressing my emotions helped me to self-reflect, identify my needs and keep commitments for my own self care, even in the center of chaos. I’ve recommend it to the rest of my family. It suggests assignments such as posting to your Hope Board, being in nature, reframing your thoughts, specific meditations and completing a challenge that you have chosen for yourself- all based on your mood rating. That’s how all the encouragement and teaching is tailored to you, which helps you advance in self-knowledge and coping skills. I continue to use it a few times a week as I care for my dad and young children. It is a great tool for busy Millennials. #sandwichgeneration #millenialcaregivers

### 5/5 — Not a scam

*2019-07-12, version 8.0.1*

I’ve looked into several different apps that are supposed to be all about “helping” you but in reality they just want you to pay for meaningless guided meditations and little to no useful features. This is the first app I’ve seen that actually allows you to use most of their features FOR FREE with no subscription. While yes, there is a premium version, you only need it if you’re looking to go way farther into the lessons. As someone who doesn't have $30 a month to spend on an app subscription for guided journaling and meditation, this app has been a HUGE game changer, and you can clearly tell that the people responsible for creating this app actually care about improving the mental health of their users, rather than trying to profit off of people who are struggling.

### 5/5 — Revolutionary

*2019-07-09, version 8.0.1*

100% what the mental health community needs. I wish so much that the app was free for all the features, I deeply fear losing out on these features if I don’t make sure I have the funds in my account, but, as someone living below the poverty line, I can say definitively that this app should be considered a vital app for all phones, and a vital app for all households. Plus, as a student/data scientist, I super appreciate both the ability to understand my days and look for patterns, AND the attitude of protectiveness they have cultivated in making sure our data belongs to us.
As an autistic mother with an autistic child, and a BiPolar Type 1 husband, this app has become the most exciting and amazing discovery in our house. These techniques work, the work you do is deep and important, and there’s such a great community. It’s worth it.

P.S. Love the new branding!
P.P.S. Opt-in data donations should be allowed by anyone who wants to, and then made safe, and then made open source, because I know a ton of under-represented communities that would love a chance to get into the first standard deviation so they get solutions on a more wide spread scale, and I know a ton of data nerds that need MOAR data. <3
P.P.P.S. You guys are legit the best.

### 5/5 — Never Thought It’d Be So Helpful

*2019-07-02, version 8.0.0*

As someone with severe illness anxiety disorder, I’d thought an app so generic and wide-reaching would be of little value to someone with such somatic anxieties. The app, however, has completely shifted my frame of mind away from my anxieties and towards a more livable, peaceful life. Daily meditations (which I never thought would actually do anything) help to teach users strategies on bringing themselves out of anxiety and into the present moment. Meditations have also taught me ways to deal with my intrusive thoughts as they pass. The discussion boards and community posts make it easier to feel supported and not so alone in my anxious mind. The app has really worked wonders for someone who has never taken an anxiety medication, never will, and has severe anxiety issues.

### 5/5 — Practical, helpful, mindful

*2019-06-28, version 8.0.0*

I first downloaded Sanvello when it was still Pacifica, and on the recommendation of my therapist. This app is so simply to maneuver and I really like the look and feel of it: everything is designed to be soothing, but also to engage with you as you practice mindfulness. I have a reminder to check in every morning and it’s down wonders for me in helping process my own thoughts and emotions instead of ignoring or belittling them. Sanvello is just as much for those who are taking the first steps towards improving their mental health as it is for those who are already well-versed in mindfulness but wish to “log” their thoughts and maybe find some new exercises. I recommended this app to my entire board and executive team, and will happily continue to recommend it to everyone!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Consistent glitch, lost interest

*2024-02-23*

I mean at one point it was helpful. Calmed my anxiety& such. I get on today cause I have daily reminders, it won’t allow me. I need a phone number, okay cool. Why after I put my number it still won’t let me proceed to the next page. Numerous times it fails. So I delete the app uninstall it& go about installing it again. Redo it to log in, even reset my password. Reach the point where I have to put a number& it still doesn’t let me press next. Like the this app is literally causing me stress. Seems a bit much sure but my anger is NOT okay. So I’m already frustrated wanting to use this app to help me& running around on my phone just creating more anger?? Deleted app& I will not get it again. I understand these things happen, but not everytime. I give up. It was nice for a little, not worth my short fuse getting sparked up over annoyances. I never had a problem with my other anxiety app, I just gave Sanvello a go because of the little anxiety exercises they had. I will be returning to my older app unfortunately. I don’t have any patience for this, I barley even like getting on my phone more than I need. But I mean hey, if it ain’t broke. Thanks anyway

### 1/5 — Constantly Banned for Absolutely No Good Reason

*2020-07-04, version 8.8.1*

I keep being banned from posting when I don’t even say anything wrong. I’m respectful toward others in the community. I’ve had so many good conversations with people in this app. The community rules don’t say you’re not supposed to talk about suicide yet people are constantly being banned from posting when they get flagged for talking about suicide or self harm. I’ve told the staff how harmful it is to treat suicidal people the same as spammers and trolls multiple times, and they haven’t listened. The one response I’ve had was something along the lines of “this isn’t a place that can help with suicide”. Actually yes, being able to talk about suicidal thoughts or ideations freely does help people even though they should still seek professional help. Also, the unhelpful response I got doesn’t address the lack of clarity in your terms and conditions. It also doesn’t change the fact that you are making people who already feel marginalized and insecure feel WAY worse and like there is no community for them in this world. How does an app that doesn’t even clearly state that suicidal and self harm posts are taboo, then bans people for the slightest infraction against this unspoken and unnecessary taboo have so many good reviews?

**Developer response:** Hi there. Thanks so much for your candid feedback here. The team is always looking for ways to be improving member experience, and we can see how these conversations are beneficial for some. We will be taking a closer look at our community rules.

### 1/5 — Thanks for Panic Attack!

*2019-07-01, version 8.0.0*

I would just like to point out that it was a very, VERY poor move to totally rebrand, change the name, etc. You are an app for people dealing with anxiety and mental illness, who, I’m sure like me- might be triggered or have adverse reactions to sudden change. I received no email of the upcoming change, and there was no mention of it in the app itself that I saw (which would have been the smart thing to do). When I saw it’s name change, I panicked and feared it has gotten hacked and uninstalled. My OCD kicked in and I’m still afraid to download it again because of the fears still in mind of what this change means exactly and what I’m putting on my phone.

I used to love this app. I used it a lot to talk to people inside the group chat features and track my moods. But, now I’m afraid to use it again. For an app that claims to have people’s mental health as a core value, this was very insensitive and a bad move. I’m so disappointed. I’m seeing a lot of people are having trouble with the new update, which is further reason to leave it uninstalled. Before this update, I would have given it 5 stars. Now I’m just so disappointed and upset.

### 2/5 — Not calming?

*2021-03-12, version 8.23.0*

I don’t understand this app. It was recommended and covered by my employer so I tried it. First it makes me choose a theme. Stars seems nice! No, it spins at a pace that dizzied me and confused my brain. I quickly chose another. Lightning? That means constant flashing! Turns out none of the themes aren’t animated (at a weird rapid pace - if they were slow they wouldn’t bother me nearly so much.) So right off the bat, I’m frustrated.

Then some of the text is barely readable against the background, for some reason? Black text against the theme background, in a few different screens.

I get it that the lessons talk about the causes of anxiety, although apparently, according to this app, all of them are external? Let me tell you, my brain does a great job of giving me internal reasons to be anxious. But then it repeated it during the breathing exercise. I don’t want to think about the causes of my anxiety when I’m trying to clear my mind. Why even mention it there? I didn’t even make it three minutes into the seven minute relaxation because I kept getting angry at the relaxation exercise.

I don’t know if it gets better at all, but just the basic stuff seems to frustrate me way more than relax me. These shouldn’t be roadblocks. Stick to lessons during lessons and relaxation during breathing exercises. Fix your visual stuff. Calm down the animations and make text readable.

### 2/5 — Wishes

*2020-02-10, version 8.5.3*

I was excited to try this app because of the reviews and wanting to do more of my own self improvement and self healing. I have had several issues. First off the print is to small for me to read even with my glasses but also because it’s not a dark color. It’s very light in color. It also would be nice if one had the ability to enlarge the text to fit their personal needs so not everyone has to have it in larger print. I did manage to get to step 3 in the reframe part of rethinking my answers I highlighted when I highlighted 3 of my items rephrased them it never let me hit finish because it didn’t light up. I retried again to answer the highlighted questions and it still did not let me save when I was done. I had to just go back and exit that section lost all my information and wasted about and hour of my time at 2:00 o’clock AM because I can’t sleep . I would like to ask kindly for you to please fix this app. I’m glad I was giving it a try for free I would not be happy if I had purchased it without a test drive,

### 2/5 — (Used to) Love it!

*2017-10-23, version 5.5.2*

I do not like the new update. It almost made me instantly delete it. I'm not a fan of change as I'm sure most users aren't. The home screen makes no sense. I prefer the old look 100%. I've stopped using this app almost completely since the update. Before the update I loved my home screen, it was easy access to everything I used the most. People with Mental and emotional issues do not like change. I want my old home screen back. I loved this app and I'm honestly angry and a little heartbroken. I tried to leave feedback on the setting page of the app but every button on that page works EXCEPT the feedback button. Take that as you will. I found that interesting.

Thoughts before the update:

I mostly use the Health part because visualizing my day into individual scales is very helpful for me. It's helpful to see the little heart fill up and I make it a goal to get it fuller than the day previous. Sadly I feel like most chat groups are in active. I was very excited about that but I posted in 10 in one night, two were for insomnia (it was 3am) and no one responded to any of the 10 groups.

**Developer response:** We're working on making some improvements to the chat groups so that it's easier to find more active ones. Keep in mind our users are all over the world in different time zones, so 3AM for you might not be the same time for everyone. We appreciate the feedback on the update. The new home screen is just a way to make mood rating easier, then give you some suggestions on what to do next. You can tap the green button to get to the rest of the activities.

### 3/5 — Promising but…

*2022-01-19, version 8.44.0*

I was recommended this app by a professional and had high hopes, but was rather disappointed that immediately I was greeted with an upsell page that I was unable to close because I use a Pro Max iPhone. Not a big problem, just closed the app and reopened to bypass… until I find that a lot of the interface bleeds into the screen corners when doing even the basics like logging the day.

I look at the reviews and see this has been mentioned before, and that the response was that it would be passed to the dev team for consideration. The pro max is NOT a new form factor. Apple provides a whole set of tools to avoid this set of issues. The last thing I want to see from an app (backed by UHG, which is NOT short on resources and capital) is an upsell push when the basics are neglected in UI design and the prior responses are generic tickets passed to the team to handle. Unfortunately that makes this app a pass for me, and an absolute non starter for premium subscription consideration. What a disappointment.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your review, we apologize for the UI issue you've encountered on your device. If you're able, can you please contact us at info@sanvello.com with a screenshot of the problem so we can make sure we're addressing the correct issue? We appreciate you bringing this back to our attention and we'd like to make sure we get it resolved.

### 3/5 — Hard for me to understand this

*2021-10-23, version 8.39.0*

I like the concept of this app and it helps in a lot of ways but some things about it lose me.
1) it sends me a reminder to do my sleep goal or my hobby goal but when I tap on it doesn’t bring me to that section and I don’t know how to get to that section and doesn’t tell me how to get to that section so I don’t ever get those done
2) it tells me how was my week in random days. I rather it ask me how was my week Saturday evening or Monday morning when it’s fresh in my mind. And if it passed Monday morning and I have not responded STILL do not ask me how was my week wait till next Monday. On Tuesday morning however it’s ok to send a reminder that I didn’t get to give an update such as say “oops we didn’t get a response yesterday on how was your week last week. It’s ok you can let us know how was your week now or don’t worry about it we have a whole new week now to work on.” Something like that. But after that leave it alone until Saturday evening or Monday morning or leave a window open from Saturday evening to Monday morning for us to record how our pass week went. Then DON’T ask us after that except a reminder on Tuesday for a last chance and that’s it.
Fix those issues and it’ll b good to go.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your review and feedback on the goal and mood reminders in the app. We will share this feedback with our development team for them to consider in future updates of the app. If you have any questions or additional recommendations, please contact us at info@sanvello.com, we'd be happy to help.

### 3/5 — Needs picture support for journaling

*2020-05-04, version 8.7.1*

This is an overall wonderful app that I use daily and even paid for a year of premium after using it for free for a long time. That being said, as I’ve settled into practices that help my mental health, journaling in a physical notebook has become one of them. The journaling feature in Sanvello offers journaling via text and via audio. It needs to include picture support as well. I would like to be able to track my journaling practices and simultaneously have a virtual backup of my physical notebook. It wouldn’t be that hard to add picture support.
Edit: While using the Hope Board is an option, I’d like to keep my Hope Board separate for things that make me smile or things that make me happy. Spamming my Hope Board with a daily picture of my journal isn’t the best option because then it cheapens the actual content I post on my Board.

### 3/5 — Problem with Theme Option!

*2019-07-27, version 8.0.3*

Hi I don’t know whether you will be getting this message or not because I had written you a review once before with five stars and it was says it was never sent from this even though I tried it twice again today. My new problem is is that I was stupid enough this morning to try a different theme as I was familiarizing myself with this app, And I selected Woodland stream or something to that effect. Well I could no longer get to any of the options within the app all I see is a lovely scenery with trees and a brook and everything else and no way to get out of
it!!! I tried to delete the app and reinstall it, and now all I’m getting is the ocean waves. I have no other way to contact the Developer except through this review, I just purchased the premium option on this app, I hope I haven’t made a mistake in doing so. I now hope someone from the development group can get back to me and tell me what is wrong with this app that I’m having a problem with I can’t do use any of the tools or anything.

**Developer response:** Hello there, my apologies that you are experiencing this issue! We actually will be releasing an updated version of the app by the end of this week that should resolve this issue.
If you would like to send an email to the info@sanvello.com email inbox explaining that you cannot get into the app we can make sure to send you an email back once the updated version comes out. That way you can be notified of when it is available and can download the latest version so that you can log into your app.
Thank you!

### 5/5 — Pretty great!

*2023-01-30, version 8.56.0*

It’s hard for me to stick with, but when I have spare time…It really helps! I don’t really have more to say, except on more thing…it shows your anxiety score, stress score, and depression score which is really helpful. Anxiety is typically ON GOING stress that doesn’t go away for a while, which leads to not having motivation to do simple tasks. It’s similar to depression in a lot of ways, and there’s really only one thing to help which is deep breaths. Stress on the other hand, goes away after a bit. It is like a one time thing. Not stress itself but the thing you are stressed about is a one time thing. Like with anxiety (which I have) is something that you stress about almost every day. Like for me, one of the things is someone is going to break in to my house when I’m in bed. I’m not to worried because I still live with my parents. I am only a Teenager. But stress, anxiety, and depression are all similar in some ways. But if someone says “Well, everyone has anxiety SOMETIMES.” That is true, but for some people it’s a literal disability. So people who read this don’t say “Well everyone has anxiety SOMETIMES”.

### 5/5 — the best!

*2022-05-11, version 8.52.0*

I have mdd + psychotic features and severe anxiety, i always feels so out of touch with my emotions bc of my psychosis but this app has helped tremendously. i have tried so many mental health apps, and personally, I think this one takes the cake! Tracking my mood everyday, being able to choose my emotions and a space to describe what’s going on + the meditations when i’m losing touch help me connect with my emotions again. It’s changing a lot for me. i would love to have premium but i don’t have room for it in my budget. my only suggestion would be to maybe lower the cost? i love the app and would recommend even just the free version to anyone any day of the week!
thanks for the help you are giving, it is truly making a difference in my life!

### 5/5 — Beginning some how.

*2021-07-15, version 8.31.0*

I like the question’s and I conjuring up words to reflect when I was thinking about my upsets. It gives me a door to better understand me and my thoughts.a better day on the horizons. Today and today and get your self a outlook that offers many good words based on clearing out some of the melancholy answers encountered through out my time. And let loose off passed down expression making for the that time and moment,,, but many things elude me and makes no point of self forgiveness. That what’s I seem to go through. Making my spirit land on to much of now. And there I am. My soul without the drive of the body.I shall like you and me. Hear to some since across my eyes separated and intact. Thank you dear God and much more.

### 5/5 — Life-Changing Advice

*2021-04-02, version 8.24.0*

For the past few months, my body has been in fight/flight/freeze mode on a consistent basis. My hands were always shaky, and my chest was so heavy and painful that it was hard to breathe. I was spiraling downwards and felt incredibly depressed. But then I began using this app. I have only been using it for three days, but I feel and see the difference. My breathing is deeper and steady, and the burden is almost lifted from my chest. I feel calmer and incredibly tired now, and I think that fatigue is from finally relaxing after being so very anxious for so very long. I cannot afford a therapist, so I never had any tools to manage my anxiety. This app has taught me those tools. I cannot recommend Sanvello enough.

### 5/5 — I cannot believe the impact on my mental health.

*2021-03-16, version 8.24.0*

This review is not bot-made, I just am so much better thanks to this app. When I started skipping hygiene, personal health, social health, and only being on screens, I convinced myself to make a change. And the first step was using Sanvello. My anxiety is getting so much better, and I’ve completely engaged in social activities and started dabbling in minimalism for my sake of OCD.
Next, the committee section. I have made so many allies and good advice givers here. The report section is top-notch, and I can find people with fellow interests without being afraid of internet bullying, homophobic people, and etc. I seriously don’t deserve the kindness here.
Lastly, the shorts. I personally enjoy Garden Mark, where he talks about plans, moving on, and other things while you see him tending to his plants. It keeps me focused but also calm!
The only thing I dislike is I’m not able to pay 10$ a month for more lessons. Please either lower the price or stop premium! People with mental health issues should have less expensive options!
Overall, mostly fantastic app, and anyone, and I mean ANYONE, who has stress should get this app.

**Developer response:** Thanks for your review, we're very glad to hear that Sanvello has been beneficial for you!😊 Please reach out to us at info@sanvello.com so we can go over some of the options for getting your account upgraded to Premium. We can also answer any additional questions you may have about the app.

### 5/5 — Really unlocked my emotions

I have been trying to find an outlet for my emotions for a while. I never got into journaling or meditation, it just didn’t seem to release and feeling nor did it bring me peace. It actually stresses me out because my mind would wander during meditation and I would be frustrated that I couldn’t do it. And journaling was hard because I didn’t know what to write; if I wanted to detail everything it would take me 39 minutes to write it all out which was t practical for me. This app is quick and simple and motivates me to challenge myself. Within this app I track my mood and analyze triggers and negative self talk. I also listen to meditations and watch videos on how to help bring myself out of a negative emotions fog. I would really recommend this if you have struggled with the typical recommended therapies in the past.

### 5/5 — This App Actually Helps!

*2020-11-06, version 8.16.0*

This app is a one stop shop! It offers so many helpful techniques for people with all different mental disorders. I am a person who has a lot of anxious tendencies, and I found this app helped to calm both my thoughts and my breathing. For people that suffer from anxiety disorders, this app offers a deep breathing exercise like I learned in my PYS250 class. This technique prevents one from having an anxiety attack/eases one while having an anxiety attack. To perform the breathing exercise simply count to 4 while slowly breathing in, hold your breath for a moment, and then slowly breath out to 4. This exercise should last for 2 minutes. Slowing one’s breathing allows the parasympathetic nervous system to be activated, calming the body. Another technique the app uses is in vivo exposure for those with social anxiety. It has one imagine a social situation that makes them anxious but then walks them through the process of imagining a positive outcome to that situation. I am so glad I was able to find this app and take advantage of all it has to offer!

### 5/5 — Learned how to escape negative thought traps

*2020-10-13, version 8.15.1*

I used this app to help with panic attacks back in 2018 (when it was Pacifica), and now again with different issues, more depression related. I’ve tried many apps for years, and this one is the only one that sticks for me.

What I really love are the mediations and journeys. If you feel like you can’t control anxious or negative thoughts, they are great for getting “unstuck” in patterns, or at least helping one become aware. While I still lack confidence, I now know how my own thoughts reinforce beliefs and how I can reframe my perspective to combat that.

I also did not feel like I had the language to discuss my emotions with others as well before using Sanvello. This app helps a lot if you are trapped in internalizing your experience. This app empowers me to open up to others and be more productive during therapy. Thank you so much!

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2020-02-11, version 8.5.3*

When I first go this app I thought that it would be just like any other meditation app. I thought that it wouldn’t help me at all and that it was no use in getting it. I’ve had the app for about two weeks now and it has helped me so much with my emotions. It helped me with lowering my stress, social and performance anxiety, and other struggles I’ve had. I can record how I’m feeling and over the past few weeks my mentality went from “awful” or “okay” to “very good” and even “great.” The health tracker helps me to remind me to take my meds or to get enough sleep. The meditations really helped me to feel calm and now I have multiple healthy coping mechanisms (that actually work) to help me when I get too stressed or anxious. This app is a life saver.

### 5/5 — Great start to journaling and sharing

*2019-11-11, version 8.3.2*

I’m not usually compelled by guided programs, but I’m off to a great start. This is highly professional and polished, allowing lots and lots of flexibility and different types stimuli. Allows places for free-flow and guided-response journaling and sharing (chatting) with others in several topical community areas. I like the music and relaxation imageries, even though I’m not typically one to be guided, it works well for now, although I usually appreciate shorter text-based programs. One thing that confuses me, maybe I just haven’t quite figured it out: the reminder notifications allow me to journal my current moods. Not sure these are random, and not sure where that journaling is saved. And the daily page is also unclear when I’m to do these different activities or where they are saved.
I need more clarity on how I see my progress. For now, I’m highly impressed by the content — and Thanks to the publishers for that — even though the process isn’t totally clear to me yet.

**Developer response:** Hi there! Thank you so much for the review. We are thrilled to hear you are enjoying the Sanvello app. The mood tracker reminders are set up to your specifications in the ME tab settings. They can be set to certain times of day or to occur randomly. The entries are also stored in the ME tab. The activities on the HOME page are suggested activities and do not have a timeline of when they need to be completed. The weekly check in's that you receive help to gauge the progress you have made. You can find these results in the ME tab as well. If you need further explanation on these features or if you have any additional questions please reach out to us at info@sanvello.com. Have a great day.
